Another great tournament.  It was however Cameron Young who lost it on the last hole.  For someone that has the deserved reputation for driving, he sure hit a poor tee shot and it cost him everything,

Said it before and I'll say it again - not sold on the inevitability of Cameron Young. He would have been considered the best player in this field to not have won and it was right there for him. But he succumbed to the greatness that is Peter Malnati. Screw that d-bag.

There are multiple breakdowns on how steep he's gotten since the P.G.A. It's by all appearances why he fell apart so badly last year and is still struggling to be consistent once he gets a run going now. His swing now is not the same one he did his winning with, the critique is valid.

Cameron Young should also have won in Dubai earlier this year but finished 2 off the pace after being the only guy in the top 10 to finish over par in the final round

Not a fan of Pete since he called out Lexi for playing Shriners, but seems like a good dude. Any dad who lets their kid rock a cape is cool by me.

Go to YouTube and watch his driver and iron swing from 2017 and compare with swings from last year ....ZERO difference.....

These final rounds just goes to show how hard it is to win on Tour. The mental toughness and intestinal fortitude required to win knowing that it’s going to be a life changing moment is great to watch.

I'd say Malnati won it on #17. Getting to -12 assured at least a play off. Young didn't help himself with the drive. It's a tough driving hole. Missing left is understandable and I guess he got a bad bounce to go so far left. The three putt was pure choke artistry. I think we are allowed to say that. I don't see any world where he doesn't eventually win, but man. Not getting it done has to take a toll. 

 

There are a ton of folks who would trade places with CY in the blink of an eye. He's got time. Poster above comparing him to Duval is probably close to it.
