Anyone heard anything on back ordered clubs? I received my set about three weeks ago but the four iron is back ordered and still not here. Anyone heard any dates? TIA

Looking for playing comparisons vs JPX919 Hot Metal Pro's. My miss is on the toe and the hmP's let me get away with some pretty bad strikes with that miss. I know if you've gotta ask you probably aren't ready for blades but I was surprised to see just how thick the hmB's are once I saw them in person.

The HMBs are not blades, although they do look like them. They are hollow bodied and help with distance and launch as well as being more forgiving than blades or muscle backs on off center strikes.

But...but...but...it’s in their name they are called Hot Metal Blades. What’s next? You gonna tell us there’s no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny!

All kidding aside, much like the P790, i500 and so on, the bladed look makes this style of club so appealing to so many players. They look so sweet yet the game improvement trickery is hidden inside.

Absolutely. When the i500s came out I thought they looked just right for me. Played the last 2 months of the season with the HMBs and couldn't be happier. Now I've just got to deal with some user error and I'm on my way.

Well, just bit the bullet. Picked up a slightly used set on The Bay. Am playing some of my best golf right now w/ my current set but am a constant tinkerer.

I tend to miss on the toe and frankly I’ve been astounded at the forgiveness level of both the HMB and MB on that miss.

Now the caveat here is I think this experience is highly dependent on the impact conditions a player produces. I think of a player is holding off the club face at impact the better the GI/SGI type weight helps. If the player is actively rotating the face closed at impact with a reasonably stout shaft, I think the gap between a forgiving MB or the HMB or a SGI type iron becomes smaller.

    That’s been my experience anyways.

Mother of God they came, they look ridiculously amazing. Probably helps that after every 2 weeks I waited to improve the bag, including the pro cart Mizuno bag and some T20s. Definitely going to the simulator after work tomorrow.

First impressions not off grass... they are easier to hit then the JPX EZ Forged I came from. The 3i is going to make me never game a 5W. I didn’t really notice a top line difference between the MMC transition point but it wasn’t exactly bright in there.

They feel longer, literally the club length feels longer then my old clubs, did Mizuno increase standard length? Either way I’m loving the feel of the club (3-6 HMB) My southern winter trip can’t come soon enough!

High single digit handicapper here and I've had mine about 6 weeks now after having MP 15's for about 3 years.. Absolutely love them. They are the best feeling iron I've ever hit and they look good and that's pretty much all that matters to me.

don't know yet. Getting heads in this weekend. i have the LZ 6.0 i am considering also. Love the feel of the 120s but the performance of the LZ is hard to ignore. Very accurate in other heads.

I tested the long irons at at golf store. they had c -tapers. not my favourite shafts but even that was easy to elevate. I think i will go with the modus.seeing as the heads have distance built in. the LZ adds more distance than the 120x even though the 120x feels better. feel is favoured.

@Man_O_War thanks. I have the same experience as you. I currently have the LZ 6.0 which feels great and flies long, but can go a little left when pushed. I recently tested the Modus 120 stiff in a Srixon head (785s I think) and they were very consistent and straight. I don't have an overly late release, around 88-90 with a 7 iron. Hard for me to get the irons with the Modus shaft to hit off grass.

What handicap range would everyone recommend for these? I am about a 17 and they look tempting....

You should be fine, go and swing them at a store and try the MMC I asked them on Instagram awhile ago. I didn’t save it but I think MMCs they say around a 12 and HMBs any. But you can blend whatever u want

I'm a 15 and very happy with a full set of HMBs. I don't feel like they're holding me back at all AND there is a lot of room for improvement. i.e. I can clearly feel off center strikes and good contact is just lovely. I expect it will be quite a while (if ever) before I feel like I've outgrown them.

I just built my set. 4-PW HMB in modus3 120S with new GP TV align mid. So pretty. If only the snow would melt so I can hit these somewhere beside into a screen.

i am finding that the HMBs do not like steep swings...shallow strikes are heavenly.

That’s a good sign for me. I’ve developed a very shallow swing over the past few years. Was matching distance with my P790 even at the weaker lofts.

Anyone having an issue with these spinning too much? Did you have to make a shaft change? I hit the 7 iron about 100 balls on 2 different occasions and was getting great numbers but the 9 iron was getting up close to 9500 rpm on the monitor I played in today. Just seeing what you guys have done if anything.

i agree. they do spin a quite a bit when you hit down like regular irons. Not when you sweep. pretty flat and low spin. Goes high but not balloon. Your shafts also spin a bit. 120 stiff will spin

Really love these long irons, glad I got the 3i. Hit the simulator again, whole set feels automatic now.

Has anyone compared the HMB 2i/3i to any of the other modern driving irons? Curious about ball speeds and distance.

Turns out all the monitors at the facility I went to were well off. Went to Golf Galaxy and was getting great numbers. Actually just swapped out my modus 120S for Recoil 110 F4 and have a time set for Sunday. Looking forward to putting these in play for 2020

I really can't say enough about the HMB. Posted a 79 (I play to a 9.6 index currently) in the round referenced above. The feel and distance control are amazing. Don't regret playing the full set of HMB as I considered a mixed set. These will be in the bag all year for sure

Got my custom ordered split set in the mail today with 5/6 being HMB. I will share that these are not easily bent. I ordered them std loft b/c im going to check them anyways on my machine. When attempting to get them 2* weaker they required alot more force. Nothing crazy but just thought i would share.

They look fantastic! Headed out on a golf trip next we to CA and cant wait to see how they perform.
