So after reading through this great thread, it appears the TX flex, because of the higher torque, plays more like an X flex? I was looking to replace my Modus 120x in my irons and Modus 125 wedge shafts in my wedges. If I went 105TX (115 grams) soft stepped 1x in my irons and 125TX (using 8 iron shafts) in my wedges, would this be comparable? I’m hoping these would have close or better feel than my Modus, with relief from my current elbow issues.

Because they are new, it depends on the vendor/club-builder or Fitter. I found them for $100 down to $75ea plus installation cost.

I’m gonna try these in my MP-20s and T-20 wedges. Local builder I have worked with a lot is doing them for $75 each installed. Will report my thoughts once I’ve hit them but who knows when that’ll be.

Got my MP and T20s shafted with these and we have some freakishly warm weather going on right now so going to play at least 18 tomorrow. Anxious to see how they perform.

I did 105S in 3 iron HMB

105X SSx1 4-6 HMB

125X SSx1 7-SW

My Seven ST 61* wedge came in today from Japan shafted with the Fuji MCI 125 “Mild” wedge specific shaft. Will be interesting to see the differences.

Loving my 120tx prototype MMT’s in my Blueprints. Have a full set of 125tx MMT’s just waiting to be installed, just not sure what heads I want to put them in. Have a set of I210 heads sitting on the work bench......

Not to redirect this thread but Fuji MCI "mild" shaft? Never heard of that term used for a shaft. Just did a quick search... interesting. Have to look into the 125 "Solid" version for my SW.

Nice, the blueprints looks great but a little smaller than I like for irons.

It kind of seems backwards but the Solid is the more tip active shaft while the Mild is the higher bend point stiffer tipped version. Played 18 and hit a bunch of balls yesterday with the new wedge with the MCI Mild Wedge in it and MP-20s with MMT in them, still kind of processing my findings, will try and put together my thoughts sometime today.

My thoughts after hitting some balls and a full round where I had to use a lot of different irons for approach shots.

My irons again for reference:

MP20 Irons:

Mizuno HMB 3i 105S

HMB 4-6 105TX SSx1

MB 7-P 125TX Ssx1

Wedges:

Mizuno T20 50 and 55 125TX 9 iron shafts

These originally came with DG AMT White in the irons and DG S400 TI in the wedges.

Me: 30s, former baseball player, don’t generate tremendous CHS anymore but am a solid 6’ 220 with a quick tempo and hard transition/short swing so I have always found more success going up a flex. 100-103 with driver seems to be about what I can do these days.

My first reaction was that they are an understated look which I prefer in an iron shaft. They have a look of quality to them.

I put the 105S in the 3i because I wanted some more launch out of that club (I was hitting mid bullets with the AMT White S300) and it definitely feels noticeably softer than the 105TX SSx1 in the 4 iron.

The ball seems to really jump off the face of the irons and wedges with these shafts and negative vibrations are reduced tremendously. I seem to have picked up maybe a half club versus the DG steel.

I used to be a flipper and fought a high ball flight, but once I got rid of the flip I have been fighting low ball flight the last two seasons. I was pleased to see these effortlessly launch at a perfect high, yet very strong trajectory. I hit some of the prettiest iron shots I hit all year with these Thursday.

I was afraid these would feel boardy and uncomfortable (such as the Recoil Proto 110 F5, for me) if I put them straight in, but I think I could have been fine without soft stepping. For those worried about not having a 120 or 125 S flex, I wouldn’t be afraid at all to give these a try with a little soft stepping as they are quite smooth.

The shafts don’t feel boardy but they do seem to play stouter than they feel. Ball flight is very straight and controllable and the feedback is excellent. I never looked up after a swing and had that “wtf” moment where the ball was doing something unexpected.

Overall quite pleased with the investment in the MMTs and looking forward to these MP and T20s sticking around for quite some time!

Thanks for sharing. I played yesterday and can't say enough about the benefits of the MMT's over what I was playing. I also finally built up the new wedges with the 125TX shafts although I'll do more of a run down on that in the spring once conditions normalize.

Based on my experience with C Taper and the MMT I don’t know if I’d agree that these launch lower than C Tapers at least for my swing. I’d certainly agree that they likely spin more. Then again I’m playing 9 iron shafts in my wedges but when I played C Tapers I soft stepped those in wedges too. ??‍♂️

MMT's were designed to be the Dynamic Gold profile but different swings can certainly produce different flights. The players swing is always king when it comes to ball flight.
