What is your 3 wood that you can't kick out of the bag?

I have had two 3 woods that were awesome that I got rid of looking for the next big thing..... The original Callaway X Hot and the TaylorMade RBz Tour 14.5. I have never found a replacement that was as good as these and still searching. Let me know your thoughts.

Every ping wood ive played has been awesome. I can interchange any 3W from g20 to 400

Nike VR Pro LE. Just replaced it with a Bridgestone that looks almost the same, but slightly better performance.

2017 m2 tour 4 wood. Better than a 3 wood off the deck (slightly smaller and higher launching) and goes just as far off the tee. Plus gets rid of the need to have a 3 and 5 wood so you've got some more options.

I have been a CB2 then CB3 4W player for the last decade, is the CB4 really solid and a worth a try? They seem to be cheap and plentiful; strange I see lots of CB2 and CB4 but not really any CB3s for sale....

 

My CB3 is a monster, even at 16.5deg it is like a mini driver when it comes to distance.

The 2006-ish original Cleveland Launcher Titanium 15 deg with awful looking stock Fujikura gold shaft. I have tried many others to no avail. I don’t use 3w too often but this is the only one I can hit reliably from turf. It’s footprint is more like a modern 4 or 5 wood with a taller face you tend to see on lower spin models. Visually perfect.

Callaway X Hot (original) - something about it just works for me. Looks and sounds good, too. I've had it in the bag since launch with only a couple of brief looks at others.

I have both the X2 hot and Stage 2 Tour 3 woods currently back in rotation as well. I just keep coming back to them. This is after testing out MANY newer models in between. They definitely have stood the test of time.

My callaway optiforce 3 wood is my trusted option. I have an rbz tour in a backup bag for when the optiforce expires. I have the tour 5 waiting for my cb2 to die. Only thing I have to do is put in whiteboards and they will be ready.

I had an R9 4 wood with an NVS 85 shaft that could not be unseated for years. Then, a couple months ago I tried a new combo.

M6 15* on a GD Tour AD-IZ

Sonartec GS Tour has been in and out for years, but a recent reshaft and its in for good stint now.

The 15* 3W made a final exit in 2012. Various 4Ws have filled the bill since then.

I had a TaylorMade SLDR high loft 3W that I got rid of for the next best thing. Haven’t been able to replicate the success I had with it, could hit it out of anywhere. Bought my 3rd one since and still think about that silver bullet haha

915Fd with a Aldila Rogue Black. Never even thought about getting anything else. First 3 wood in 20 plus years of playing that I have loved. It’s definitely a keeper.

I have to ask about your setup. That is exactly what I have been wanting to try. I love that shaft in my driver and bet it’s good in a fairway.
