Titleist Wide Flange Bullseye - pre-Scotty Cameron - post Acushnet (?), stilling trying to figure out what it is exactly.

 

OK - that is seriously old school. I used to have one of those. I think I bought it in the 1970s. Eventually replaced it with a Ram Zebra (kind of a Mustang Cobra thing going on with that name), then a Ping Eye2 that I still own.

 

Oldie but a goodie, the Ram Zebra is a nice putter. Any idea where this Titleist fits in the Bullseye timeline? I've never seen another one with just Titleist on the sole.

Was looking at purchasing a Ping Vault 2.0 Dale Anser but got a Ping Sigma G Anser for less than half the price and hit it just as well if not better. It was discounted at Golf Galaxy so the weekly coupons worked on it to. $119 - couldn't pass it up.

Starting specs; 31.5", golfpride pistol, 6* loft, 5g added to head, sw A9

 

Extended to 34.5" with ss flatso 2.0. Took out 50g weight in shaft, leaving extra headweight, keeping it at 6* loft. Not sure final sw but it rolls much better now.

I found a used Futura 5W yesterday for a great deal and snagged it up. I am planning on sending it to either Putter Spa by JRich or Slighter Golf Co. to get it modified for a flow neck, similar to Justin Thomas's putter. From the pictures it looks like both do great work. Does anyone have a preference on who does the better work? Pricing was about the same.

Had a putter fitting at the Scotty Cameron Gallery but didn't have the $2.5K for the TFB. So have bought a 1st/500 2018 Fastback off eBay. Lengthened to 36" and 5g head weights coming - that's what the fitting suggested...

Posted this in the lefty purchases but thought I'd share with the putter addicts too. Toulon Garage is the nicest group and they got this to me in about 2 weeks. The certificate they included was metal too which was a nice little touch. I took about 15 pictures of it along with headcover, shaft band, etc but just wanted to cut to the chase here.

 

FYI- It's an Atlanta with black pearl finish top site line, standard paintfill, black shaft, standard grip, and 20g sole weight. I love the feel and it's just so smooth on putts within 10 feet and alignment is a no brainer.

Picked this up for $25 at my local PGATSS yesterday. Threw on a Winnpro X jumbo grip and loaded up some lead tape on the bottom. Threw it right in the bag and played 18 today. I’m a 2 ball fan, so this suits my eye for sure. It feels more stable than my RX and is even easier to line up thanks to the wings. It does make a bit of a ping on longer putts (some some people complaining about that) but it doesn’t bother me. The lead tape did mute the sound a bit. Feels great too IMO. All in all, I putted GREAT with it today. No 3 putts and several lengthy one putts. Such an underrated putter.

Proudly present, the first of two custom creations by Sir Lump. Carbon body, oil soaked with a flow neck for about 15* of hang. Diamond milled weave with a torched Damascus cavity emblem. 360g.

 

Next one arrives in a few weeks and is a custom mallet, similar to the Queen Bee.
