I've been playing the exact same Mil-Spec since I bought it new.  It's had a few time outs and four new grips since then, but I still love the way it rolls the ball.

I bought a Special Select Newport 2 to replace my Select Squareback few months ago to have more control but I just couldn't putt straight with it.. 

 

I put the Mil-Spec in play first time yesterday in a scramble and the feeling was completely different! Way better balanced (maybe just suits me better) and my friend was also saying that everytime I went to put the setup looked like it will go in. Funny how a different weight or balance can affect so much lining up your putter.

I offer a 3 for 1, as I bought them all at close to the same time.

 

1. Taylormade M5 10.5* - stock Tensei regular shaft.   Guy who lives out at the nice country club in town was asking $200 CAD for it.  No brainer, I bought with the intent to flip it, but would try it.  I just didn't love the feel.  Mishits were very noticeable feel-wise, but the club performed.  Currently, I've taken the weights out of it, put the Diamanna from the next one in it for swing speed training.

 

2. Taylormade SIM 9.0* with Diamanna 60g X flex.  had a couple beers (several) and put a bid on this on ebay.  ordered from Globalgolf in the US, cost $275USD + shipping & import duties.  About $400 CAD.   Going to likely try selling this one, but need to wait for Ontario to open indoor businesses so I can hit up the sims and get some numbers.

 

3. Taylormade SIM 8.0* with Hazrdus Green 70g X flex.  Currently have my oban Kyoshi White 65g on it, but currently testing the shaft combos.  I've got this as my gamer currently, cranked up to 9* (1.5* shaft sleeve).  Once the sims open up, I want to get some numbers so I can get the best combination from my two SIMs.

That was also forged by Endo with the "W" face design.  Beautiful design!

Thanks for the enlightenment, any other info or place I could read up on would be appreciated as I'm not very familiar and this is only my 2nd forae into the Honma brand. I lucked into/stole 3 Honma T-World wedges, 50°, 54° & 58° with NS Pro Modus 125s, a couple weeks ago. I feel I lucked into/stole this thing too and here's why....

 

I was watching this driver in my ebay and it went unsold, the 1st time around and I kicked myself for missing out. He relisted and had 1 bid and as I was watching the last hour of the auction, I fell asleep. Woke up and it sold for the 1 and only bid. Hoof in a** again, but oh well. Woke up the next day and low and behold, relisted. I thought, he didn't get what he expected so he cancelled the sale. I sent the seller a message and asked why it was relisted and he said "the buyer backed out". I said "I'll give you what the winning bid was" and he accepted. Relisted as a "Buy it Now" for me and it is now mine. Got it today and it looks like it's never been hit, not a mark on it. This thing's gorgeous. 

 

Evidently, I was right as the price, to me, was hard to believe.

Yep! It's a waxed canvas type material just like the bag - "Winston Collection" ... www.winstoncollection.com

 

I picked up my headcover at Bluejack National's pro shop - had never heard of them before then. Great quality.
