This thread will be an utter failure if Norys doesn't win another car

Dan you'll have your work cut out for you, a couple buddies of mine are guests, there should be some really good competition for you there. Have fun, good luck, stay disease free :drinks:

Disease free? Is that often a problem in these things?! LMAO!

We need PGA Tour Live coverage and you guys in the Featured Group.

I look forward to updates; go low!

I can already tell you what Isaac is going to do.

Part of it involves hitting a 3 wood from an uphill side hill lie into the wind from 240 around some trees over water to a tucked pin. He'll either hit it to 6 feet or fire it into some guy's picture window, frankly both are entertaining but when he hits it ob you get the additional entertainment of him yelling "GIVE ME MY PRO V1 BACK!" at a 79 year old retiree.

Looking at the field for The Delacour Open this weekend it looks like it's going to be pretty tough. There are 30 scratch (or less) players in the field. There's a past Canadian Am Champ, Alberta Am champs, Alberta Mid-am champ, a couple of past City Am champs and even a past Pacific Coast Amateur champion.

I'm guessing with the good weather forecast, the winner could be as low as -8 for 2 days. The course is rated 74.4/140 at 7100. I've played in the past where the wind blew steady 40 mph so hopefully that's not the case this weekend.

Looking forward to 6400 with Obee next week!

Took off work early today so that I could go for the last three hours and practice short game . Greens are rolling 11 and they're going to double cut them tomorrow. Only trouble is it's literally blowing a steady 45 mph out there ! Supposed to "calm" down to 20 tomorrow ...

With any kind of wind at this course, the winning score is suddenly 2 under.

Edit: new forecast is howling all day tomorrow.

I've always felt like the windier the conditions the better for me . I've never been an especially great ball striker and everybody struggles like crazy in the wind so I feel like the field gets down to my ball striking level but my short game and putting gives me an advantage! Lol!

One of the keys to good tournament golf is convincing yourself that regardless of what you have to face, you have an advantage over the field!

A steady 45 sounds almost unplayable. With greens at 11 the balls may putt themselves, lol.

Interesting first round today in my "warm-up event" for next week. The wind was howling and they decided to set it up carnival style! greens 11 and there were 6 pins set

within 7 feet of the fringe.

Rating was almost 75 so I figured "par" was nearly 78 or 79 today. 74 was low and I was 77. Been a while since I shot that

high and wasn't really disappointed. I did make a triple today but other than that, it was pretty steady. Almost hit a cow in a field. 40 mph wind gusts can do strange things to

your balance. I actually hit 15 greens today but just so hard to get the ball in realistic birdie range.

If I can get it around 70 tomorrow, might actually have a chance.

Side note: In the long drive contest after, I ended up 3rd with a 369 wack! (411 was hard to catch...) Obviously wind assisted but it had "calmed" down to a manageable 20-25 by 7pm.
