Hammerhead slot? New tech?

 

The rumors I'm hearing are that the new tech will tighten dispersion on off-center strikes. Not sure if that is directly related to "Hammerhead" or not.

 

Maybe this is where the Speed Foam is placed. Nevertheless, if this is an M2 replacement I'll give it a go!

 

Hammerhead might imply some sort of horizontal reinforcement, like the head of a hammerhead shark?

 

Anything to cut down on energy lost because of flexing. That is a possibility.

Y'all really didn't miss much. Is TM crossing any infringement lines with the m4 logo + paintfill looking very similar to the BMW??

 

Crown is pretty much exactly like current M1/M2

 

TM should have waited 1 more year to work on these. Seems only like a new paint job + a copy cat channel of Cally's jailbreak. I think many of us were harping on better/different aesthetics because performance is near maxed out anyways, looks can be the deciding factor. I guess awesome feel/sound will be the saving grace for these.

TM have asked the pics be taken down then there must be something in them. The M2 was the first time in a while I'd seen some better performance out of drivers. I HATED 17 M2 colour scheme but the d type gave me another 7 yards or so.

 

The M4 looks cheap and unimaginative. Why are they reacting to jailbreak? Callaway drivers have been nothing to write home about for a while, little presence on tour, with the exception of XR16 in one in every ten bags don't see hardly anyone using them at clubs throughout the area.

 

Seems like a potential R15 in as much as it's a release for the sake of it.

I'm a little surprised they didn't make the rear weight red or blue. The gold/yellow really stands out on TV on current M2.

I imagine they are copying jailbreak because Epic outsold them by a wide margin this year. Also, I would have to say the tech works. I play the M1 440 because I like the shape but the Epic did give a couple mph more ball speed as a direct result of higher smash.

 

Callaway has made a number of great drivers over he last 5 years. In my fittings Callaway and TM have gone back and forth for years for the best driver. RFE was longest, then SLDR, then 815 DBD, then 2016 M2, then Epic. It is TM’s turn to be the the longest this year. Head shape is the only reason Epic is not in my bag.

 

Tour presence is the worst indicator of driver performance. I do not consider which company pays more guys to bag their driver when buying. With the options the tour guys have they can make any driver work.
