What Does Callaway Have In Store For 2019?

Recommended Posts

That sliding track doesn't cover much ground. Doesn't seem like it would be able to change CG that much. I'm sure it does, just looks a lot shorter than the Epic did. I'm guessing there's more weight being move around, looks like the track is a little deeper than the Epic was too.

That will depend on how heavy the weight is. It is also possible that the further away from center the weight is. You might start having diminishing returns on MOI.

Sometimes I wonder what Callaways designers are thinking. Their clubs perform, but green and yellow? Who signed off on that? What person or group or people walked out of the design session thinking that was the BEST they could come up with? Awful color scheme.

It is so minimal and mostly on the bottom.

You’ve missed the point entirely. Plenty of OEMs out there designing beautiful golf clubs. This isn’t one of them from a color scheme standpoint. Just my opinion. We have an entire rainbow of colors to pick from and we choose green and yellow?

I know it’s on the bottom. Still doesn’t change how I feel about the club.

Can we change the direction of this thread from what the damn sole looks like to things that matter like shape, how it looks at address, and performance lol?

No pictures from address. I'm eagerly awaiting a look at the crown. Sounds like they brought back the visible line separating the carbon from the titanium. But, it may be paint vs. the actual seam.

I'm dying to see the shape of the face. Hoping it's noticeably deeper than the Rogue SZ.

I don't like green and yellow as a color scheme but they event went further and picked a bad shade of green.

Oregon fans will probably like it but it looks cheap to me.

I wonder if it's a marketing deal. Make it pop on TV. While the Rogue had a more subdued color scheme, I do prefer this green over the aqua blue from last year.

That’s exactly why they do it. They want their product to be noticeable on tv.

True, but you want it be noticeable for the right reasons.

It is more subdued. I just don't like the color in general. To each their own I suppose :)

Same.

Green is favorite color, but I prefer the Rogue Aqua to the Epic Green.

Who gives a s*** about color, been a lot a hype around this driver, been a TMAG guy for years and anc actually want to give this a whirl. Been looking to make a fresh change to my bag next year but my M2 beat out everyone this summer. I’m staying tuned no matter the color hahaha

I care about color a lot actually. I don’t want an overly flashy, distracting driver from address. It’s always a plus when it looks good in the bag too.

I have hit only the SZ model and I enjoyed the performance of it. I have TM numbers that would show you that it outperformed my current gamer. Sound is a huge improvement over the original epic. The sliding weight is certainly shorter then the epic but i did feel with it toward the heel that i was hitting more of a draw as opposed to a cut. Not as forgiving as my current gamer but leaps and bounds faster.

Based on that one picture shared which doesn’t show the crown, you’d be distracted at address if you were hold the club upside down and hitting the ball with the grip.

I get you have an opinion and all but you haven’t even seen the top of club head.

Think about what you said
