What Does Callaway Have In Store For 2019?

Heard from a rep that Epic 2.0 coming. Really hope thats just a cover name but he said thats the name they're going with

 

The last time an OEM did a 2.0 version, it was called "Stage 2" and was one of the biggest flops in equipment history. Sure hope that's just a cover name and they have more creativity than that.

Epic is a stupid name for a golf club to begin with, so is Razr, so is Rocketballz, so is Rogue, Razrhawk, the list goes on and on. So if those examples are "creativity" than sure, "they" got more for ya don't worry.

Must be some new distance type balls coming. The brightly coloured current models are gathering dust and going cheap on Ebay. I assume a new forged cavity to replace the Apex. Not sure when the forged wedges will arrive but defo worth a test.

Callaway seems to want to control release information a lot more strictly the past few years. When the Epic was released some members here might recall we (the guys who went to Carlsbad) had to sign NDA's where we were not allowed to post pictures or say the name, even after it was leaked

 

We were thoroughly mocked LoL.

 

I think their senior marketing guys just want as much control as possible over the message

I don't mind the control over the message, but what I hate is the never-ending "something is coming" and nothing comes. At least "leak" the timeframes of releases even if you don't want names and pictures out there.

For all OEM's, there's a secondary product drop window in the late summer/early fall while the primary window for new products centers around the PGA merchandise show. Not much mystery to that.

Has Callaway said something is coming? I remember with epic they had a release date publisized.

 

Sometimes rumors are started by people here for example not by the OEM. I'm curious to know what they have coming out so I'd like to know when we'll see it too

Tweets like this coming out when the sales meeting hasn’t even taken place which means only certain people have seen much less hit the new product has to anger if not push martketing to want to control the message even more

i've seen those wedges in person and they look great. At address, the leading edge sits square and frames the ball perfectly compared to a more rounded sole wedge like a vokey or PM grind.
