Got a chance today to hit the M5 and M6 drivers plus the M6 FW. The demos came in at my local GG. On all clubs they feel like the prior generation M series product. Sound the same as well. The look from address is good and the mat black crown is easy to look at. my one complaint is that TM went 45.75" long in both drivers. It felt like I was swinging a long drive driver. I know the length can be changed easily but would have to had more weight to the head. Plus the M5 head weighs out to 203g with adapter. M6 is around 200g.

EXCUSE ME, are you actually saying that the M5 sounds and feels the same as the M3??? If that is your statement you are clearly wrong. I have played with them side by side for the past 10 days and I have had some friends experience them both. There is no discussion here. Now my two clubs do not have stock shafts but both have Fujikura Speeder Evolution shafts with the weights in similar fairly neutral spots. The M5 is more muted and solid and the M3 is louder and more "metallic". Not only myself and friends experienced this but it has been mentioned by some of the online blogger/video testers. The flight of the M5 is also higher with all else being the same.

Would you say there are enough gains in yardage or dispersion to make buying one worth it? My M3 is working well BUT if I could add height without more spin AND gain yardage.....hmmmm

Well that is what I am seeing but it has been very wet here in the N Cal and while I have been getting more carry, I can't tell yet when it comes to total with run. For that reason I am taking both to Orlando for the games there and the Show. The M3 that I am taking is the 440, the M5 is the 460. Otherwise pretty equal. Stay tuned.

Well I'm in South Florida and the weather is stupendous!

i hit the M5 yesterday. My impressions are that it is a solid driver. I love the way it looks. the matte carbon is nice to look at and it has a great shape. But, i did not get faster ball speeds. in fact it came in a bit low for me. Now, i did not get to try it in a shaft that fit me well so there may be some room to gain. i was not blown away by it. i get 3-4 more mph ball speed with the titleist Ts3 which so far for me is tops in the most recent driver list.

2019 wont be TM's best year. Demo'd these, and they aren't good. They don't feel good and they look cheap. Coupled with the swing and miss in the 760's, they've got a lot of work to do to reinvent themselves. I have had the M1 for some time and now the M3, but won't be buying TM this year.

Personally, I think this is one of the strongest lineups TM has had from top to bottom in a long time. Everyone has their own personal tastes, but I know that after hitting the M5, my M3 looks old and busted. The look of the M5/M6 at address is the best I've ever seen. Others will disagree. The fairways have a lot of hype, P790 and P730 were well regarded, Hi-Toe has been a success, and the Spiders continue to do well (with a nice improvement coming soon).

From an irons perspective, the 760 seem to be highly regarded once people give them a shot and get past what they looked like in initial images. Personally, I still have RSi TP in the bag. Nothing has been able to beat them yet, but my brief time with the 760 showed they're a contender. My only hold up at this point is the price. It's hard to justify that outlay of cash when I'll end up tearing them down and rebuilding.

So, while I'm definitely a fan of the brand, I feel their 2019 lineup is on par with anything else out there right now.

That MadLad Rick Shiels unleashed the beast today on youtube, hitting 340 yard low spin BOMBS with M5. With both weight forward he was struggling to get over 1000rpm of spin at times. That was only at 165mh ball speed too.

All kidding aside, imagine what Rory would do in that setting.Totally not game-able but that's fairly ridiculous.

I'm still mulling over a Smoke or Evenflow White. I liked the EF white ALOT on the TS2 I used. It's felt great. Also, the market for shafts with TM adapters is beyond saturated. YOU can get shafts on the cheap cheap from here, ebay, etc. etc.

True, still wish we could just buy the head only.

Is anyone having trouble accessing the "custom shop" for the drivers? I can get in but the driver head models aren't being shown. I am wondering if TM is prepping for the update to launch in the morning for pre-orders.

Yes, I've noticed this for the past few weeks with drivers and woods. Looks like they're waiting to put the new ones in. They don't seem to be stocking any more M3/M4 woods now that they're on sale.

C'mon man. Give us strike locations...not going to see faster ballspeeds on center strikes. You know what these things are about...

Thanks! Bummer that they didn’t offer the hzrdus smoke 80.

Anyway, anyone game the kbs tgi 100 in a driving iron?

I have. Had it in a 790 3i. It launched quite high and was weak in flex.

The look at the address position is good to my eye. I do like the new thinner paint and the flat carbon. I will say that the M5 feels and sounds better than my M3. Will put my gamer shaft in the head and get some numbers in the next week or so.

You must go to a fitter who carries TPT. That rules out a direct web order from TM but you can visit one of their custom fitting locations, I’m sure they carry TPT at those places.
