Why I hate my pxg clubs

Never apologize for been blessed. I know I don't. I worked hard to own the things I own so I stopped worrying about what others thought a long time ago.

Having said that, I don't know why start a thread about it, but...

Well if you worked hard for it, it's more about the hard work than being blessed!

People who make a lot of money should buy things. Good for the economy

But , when having nice things, one should understand the reaction they will get when complaining about them

When other people complain about you having nice things, they are ignorant and deserve to be ignored. That’s today’s society, give me, give me, give me.

And yes, I was blessed to have the health and all the opportunities to do what I wanted to do and accomplished everything I have. I guess it is wrong for me to believe in God according to you.

Maybe it's time to upgrade your foursome?

Anybody who thinks you're rich because you have 3 grand is a simpleton. For all they know you could be living in your car with those clubs.

Or that now you can get them (Gen 1) for the same price as any other OEM's new sticks.

For kicks I did a quick compare of the Gen 1s vs AP2s and the Gen 1s were cheaper - because C Taper Lite are upgrades according to Titleist.

Look...All this crap we out here dying for is so marked up it's not even funny. GOF HAS NO INTREST IN GROWING THIS GAME IN A SERIOUS WAY until they reign in all this outrageous growth in equipment prices. Until the common man can keep up with the new club tech. without having to work 2 full time jobs, golf will never truly grow as far as attracting the best athletes from all social classes and grow the game to what it could be. We all run around dying for the newest tech. At these OUTRAGIOUS prices to where no average family can afford to have a child choose golf over ANY ORHER SORT. SAD REALLY FOR A GAME THAT COULD BE A REAL SPORT IF WE ALL STOPPED THESE COMPANIES FROM DOING THIS BY JUST STOPPING THE DEMAND FOR THIS VERPRICED SAME THING THEY GAVE US THE YR. BEFORE....EVERY YR. OVER AND VER EVERY YR.

I got a little secret to tell you.....your game will not drastically change if you’re playing a $100 used set of Ping irons from the early 2000’s vs playing brand new top of the line clubs (if both sets fit your swing characteristics). The amount of effort/dedication and proper training will make more of a difference then what clubs you have. And, if you want brand new clubs every year then make changes in YOUR life to afford said clubs.

Had a set of PXGs (they really aren't that much anymore all things considered and they're definitely not worth the money brand news unless you're a vet with the deal they have) and had a few rounds where people kind made snitty whatever comments and told them to try the club out. "Hey, try the 7 on the next shot" or whatever. They were so afraid of them because of the price and they didn't wanna ding them.

I have the 0911 Tours. I play off 15. I work a lot and am established in my career. I bought them to try them and got them at such a stupid good deal that when I sold them, I made a lot of profit which was the end goal.

A. They're not worth the money.

B. They don't perform any better than you middling / puring any other irons.

C. They do offer help if you off center but, if you are off centering alot then you should be using GI clubs.

D. Screw what everyone else thinks. And kill them with kindness. Let the other guy take a few swings / hacks. Who knows? They might buy your set more than what you paid for it.

No doubt one of the best irons I have hit and the iron of choice 0311 4-PW with steel fiber stiff shafts 2018. What I hate about them? Everywhere I play, the same response. You must have plenty of money, what do you do for a living? It is beyond irritating! It has become a thorn in my side. Whatever the notion is out there, these clubs are affordable if you want them. I just want to play golf when I hit the course!

You play with different people every time you play?

My thoughts exactly.

I really hope that was an attempt at humor, but if not...I would encourage you to play or introduce yourself to those of us that purchased our PXG's through the Heroes program. If you still think we are all jerk-offs, the problem is probably not the people with the PXG's.

I’m not really sure why the OP’s problem is here. I get asked what I do for a living every time I play a round with strangers. I thought that was just part of on course small talk.

Maybe he just thinks people think he has a lot of moneys

You are not the only one, lol...

I'm retired, but when I used to tell folks what I did for a living, more times than not, they would offer to buy me a soda, I don't drink, at the end of the round.
