Ted Potter Jr. won at -17 last year and today he’s +12 and second to last after just two rounds. Crazy.

He did have some injury issues last year after he won at PB. He broke his ankle some years back. All that said his play this week is more towards his norm. Very Smylie like. Check his last results from the last two years. Not good at all outside of the win.

Kind of fun to enjoy Romo on the course after rooting against his NFL team for so many years. I am not a huge fan of him as an announcer either, but seems like a good enough guy and player on the course for sure. Dang good looking swing.... and pressure....I think he has been on enough big stages he does not feel it as a hindrance but instead a motivator to perform. Pretty impressive player!!

Also really nice to see Jordan S get his game back for a couple of days anyway. It really seems a little misguided when so many people post that he will never do this or do that again. IMO some folks will eventually have to deal with him holding some trophies more than a time or two before his career is over. His biggest challenge when he works through this dip is just that the field is SO strong on the PGA now. But I just have to shake my head when I read here that TW will win all 4 majors this year and JS will never win another. I think both sides of that are likely very wrong? Course just another opinion :-)

Great reason to go play PBGL's at some point in your life. It makes watching Larry the Cable Guy duff chips bearable.

 

Funny, the Featured Group coverage I caught on Thursday didn't show the Am's at all, or very very little.

 

If I were king, the coverage would be of the pro's only with an occasional collage of the best shots by the amateurs and perhaps some behind the scenes "hob knob" footage. It would be interesting to see some of the parties.

 

15 and 20 million dollar mansions sit empty 360 days a year for this event, so I imagine there are some pretty fierce parties. Oh, my bad, they probably visit their Monterey estates for the Concurs d'Elegance egalement.

Thanks for bringing back the fond memory of the Hamm’s commercial. Disagree with your view of craft beer but still love those old brands. A local brewer brought back POC with the original recipe for a brief time and I was shocked at how good it was.
