it's the least appreciated/liked by all golfers, not just here ... and something has to be 4th fiddle among the majors ... it's still a major, tho ...

i think it will be great ... like the move to May and think it will help elevate it in the long run ...

I will be there Friday as well. I plan to post up on #1 for a little while if I can get a good seat because I like to see guys pound driver/fairway wood. Then after a few hours, I'll probably pick a group and walk the entire course then go up the stands into 17 green. From the back of 17 green you can see 18 tee. Depending how long I spent on #1 I may go sit on another tee box after 17 green, grab a drink/food along the way.

The best set up that I have seen is going to be the bleachers behind the 15th tee. Set yourself up on the upper left corner of the bleacher as you will have the angles for 15th tee, 16th green, and 17th tee. The 1st hole tee bleachers are incredible as well as you are literally on top of the players.

This will only be my 2nd time going to a PGA Major out in the greater NYC area so it will probably confirm just how savage northeastern (especially NYC area) golf fans are.

Highlights from last year's US Open on Saturday

1) People constantly screaming SLICK RICKKK at Ricky Fowler, virtually non stop.

2) Kids yelling CHUCKY THREE STICKS!!! @Howell 3rd.

3) Can't recall exactly but it was either after Phil's putt on #8 or right after he teed off on #9 but somebody yelled, PHIL YOU'RE MY DADDD!!! at the top of their lungs.

Probably more but those few stuck out.

That's it? Sounds like my daily subway ride ; )

If TW wins here it's gonna be like Lord of the Flies!

I'm going early, see TW on the range, try to follow him, jump ahead, meet my buddy, see Phil a bit. Then I'm out. Should be gone before all the clowns who get drunk off 2 beers get too lubricated.

BSC - you should carry around a large sponge-like index finger so we can see you on TV.

Kuchar's in the group right behind Phil, so you could get in a little heckling before you go.

Anyone know what the weather is supposed to be like this weekend? 7,500 yards in cold, wet conditions should be quite the challenge!

The first hole; a beast of a par 4 is playing only as a 95 yards par three, and the all up hill par five number 5 is playing as a short (300 yard) par 4. Not sure if they shortened any other holes out. The back nine is a beast from the tips. The red is a fun and yet challenging course to play. Hopefully you will get to play it again, perhaps do a red and black 36 in one day. That is an awesome day of golf (and you can take a cart on the red for the 2nd round).
