Steve Stricker changes to Titleist 755 irons - May 2019

Tough to go wrong with some classic Titleist CBs. I would love to see him shoot some low scores with those.

 

I would have gone with the 735CM's, but then again, I'm not on tour.

_During the Valspar Championship, Stricker contemplated using new Titleist irons, but he wanted the clubs to be built with KBS Prototype shafts from an old set. “I was going to put them right into a new Titleist head,” Stricker said. “But I took them out and the tips were all bent, so I couldn’t use them anymore.__

 

See, if Stricker was on WRX, he would have known that was going to happen. I wonder if KBS gave him a new set of shafts?

They made some sets of conforming for tour players. Just a great looking solid cavity backs. I remember in college I had titleist double ship me on accident... I should have held onto a set... (but I can say that for about 20 sets of irons)

They are his. Its the set he used while he began his comeback in the late 2000's, and he realized he still had them when watching video of himself. I believe the article on golf.com said he has a second set of them in his house, but he hasn't had them checked by the USGA.

 

Hit 14 of 18 greens on Thursday, so they obviously work just fine.

He used these on tour some years ago, before eventually moving to the AP2 - I remember the lead tape in the cavity of the iron where the red badge had fallen out.
