What is the lowest temp you will golf in?

I’d guess most don’t like playing below 60 degrees.

Wind is the biggest thing for me. If the temps are in the 40's with no wind, not only will I play, but I'll play in shorts. The pants finally come out when temps are in the 30's. But if it's 30's and windy, I'll stay home. I don't like to play golf with a bunch of layers.

If I’m teeing off early in the morning I don’t mind temps in the 30s if the wind isn’t terrible (5-15) and the wind chill isn’t below 50 on the back nine. If the wind chill is going to stay below 50 the whole round I’m out. Here in central Texas golf in Dec-Jan-Feb can be pretty chilly.

It was 17 degrees while I was on the driving last week. Courses don't open until almost May around here.

I'll play in any weather when the course is open. I have a limited season (central Wisconsin) and a family and I will play in whatever weather. Makes for some really fun rounds though

Playing tomorrow on my links course in the North of England. The forecast at 11am is 38F/3C, 'feels like' 27F/-3C with a brisk Westerly of 18mph gusting to 32mph. I'll be wearing many layers!

I'll tee off in the low 40's if the forecast is to get into the 50s or higher. Strong windy days excluded.

Teed off at 41F yesterday morning and it never got above about 50, but it wasnt too bad. Ended up playing 36 holes.

Any colder and Im staying home.

I play golf to have a good time. The weather sunshine trees flowers heat. Cold or rainy golf is miserbal to me. 58 degrees is my limit and thats really pushing it.

18° is the lowest I’ve played in, but that was my first year playing and I no longer care that much. 45° is probably my current limit. I don’t have an upper limit.

I'd like to thank all you guys who stay off the courses when it's below 50.

Our winter rounds flow so much better when there's nobody else on the course.

For mid February in Pittsburgh, this is living!

Headed for the winter Florida/Myrtle swing in a few weeks, so it's good to stay lubed.

The lowest I golfed in was 37 and it was no fun too cold and too many layers. Golfing to golf and get out there is fine but no scoring records will happen haha

37° last November. It was really sunny though, which helped. Winter gloves, Under Armour Cold Gear, and I walk. Wasn't bad at all.

Back when I was younger anything went as long as the course was open----- Now days with serious lower back issues below 50 is out for me

2 years ago I would have said 50°. With the right layers to keep range of motion and warmth* I played in 35° and felt great. I’d say that is probably my limit if I’m traveling and 45° is my limit at my home course

The lowest temp at tee time has to be at least 50. And the temps have to be headed up or we don't play. If I don't play today, the temps will be 70 tomorrow so there's no reason to play in the cold today. I'll just play tomorrow. That's what you get when you are retired and live in Florida.

If it's open, and I'm in the mood, I'll play. Cold temps don't bother me. Cold rain bothers me.

Same here. All of the courses around here have champion bermuda greens so they cover up when it gets below 30 or stays there for a few days so i can play quite a few winter rounds. Pace is really good in the winter which I like. I enjoy the challenge of a little wind and cold and usually play well in adverse conditions, but i won't do cold rain unless its just a drizzle that will pass. Some of the newer jackets i have (ping norse) I can wear with just a base layer underneath and be comfy in the 30s
