Srixon 2020 Irons ZX7, ZX5, ZX Utility

I got a set of 3-p ZX7’s stock setup with Modus 120, stock length, grip, etc that I’m rebuilding to my specs. 
 

Loft and lies were almost dead spot on, 9 iron was 1 degree flat vs stock specs.

 

Headweights in grams are as follows:

 

3: 237.6

4: 244.4

5: 251.0

6: 258.0

7: 264.6

8: 272.9

9: 279.8

P: 287.8

 

For the stock setup, 4/8 had tip weights, but they were relatively small.

We've broken the machine. Cleveland Srixon is likely half panic and half laughing all the way to the 🏦. I just tried to order ZX4/5 combo, as I'm no Brooks Koepka, and still waiting for Zipcore 58 Tour Rack stock shaft and grip

Those tolerances only confirm the quality of the production and attention to detail.

 

I often wondered if the allure of the new ZX series would wane once other manufacturers reveal their new products but it seems Srixon is still one of the most wanted.

I think TM was sold out a week after the P770 release.  Like many competitive businesses, hard to predict demand...but the best figure out a way to meet that demand quickly.  We will see if they can rise to the occasion and capitalize on this opportunity, or get a black eye from long wait times.  
I certainly hope management has a plan and the resources needed to get the product out in a reasonable time.  When you are fighting the big boys marketing and products, you probably get a limited number of opportunities to make a bigger splash?  I am pulling for them.  Their quality has been exceptional for years!

I ordered zx5 4-pw from GG on 1/17 and got my shipping notification on 2/9. Hopefully yours is right around the corner.

Ordered ZX5 5-GW -.5" Modus 105R on 1/28, arrived 2/6.  Glad I got my order in before they sold out.  Gotta say they are beautiful and really looking forward to hitting them.

Yes. I got a stock 3. Custom ordered a 4 built to iron specs. Placed the 4 utility with another set of irons. No word yet but only placed the order Monday I think.

Just got fitted and ordered ZX5's 5-PW yesterday. As long as they are here by the first of April I'll be good.

I'm a Mizuno loyalist, but following these Srixon threads have really won me over to give them a go.  Yesterday I put in my order via a local fitter, though many thanks for those here that offered a great discount.

 

ZX5  GW  ( don't like the looks of the ZX7 GW )

ZX7  PW-9-8-7

ZX5  6-5-4

ZXU  4i  ( will compare both 4i an 4u , keep one of them )

RTX Zipcore 54-Full

RTX Zipcore 58-Mid and Full ( if I prefer the Mid, I may keep the Full for wet/soft days )

 

Shafts will be Steelfiber i110cw Stiff across the board.

I'm going to do my usual SL and MOI build on them:

9-LW SL at 36.0" ungripped

8-7-6-5 in 1/4" increments, MOI matched 

I will keep the 4i / 4u a bit longer to start, and shorten accordingly.

I have the same build in my trusty MP-18 MMC set, which will move to the weekend bag.

 

It's been I while since I bought brand new irons -> good times ahead !  👍

So after building and shipping just the 8 iron from my set, they told me that the 5 and 6 shipped out yesterday. The 7,9 and PW are hoping to be built and shipped two weeks from now....I am not sure how I feel about this. I guess it is fine, but just really strange.

Just got my order in today. Ordered 1/16 through the website. Kind of disappointed because I ordered the clubs with the Modus 120 XS but they came built with S flex...... Srixon has been getting so busy that they're not taking calls anymore and email takes forever. Not sure what I'm going to do but disappointed because I already waited so long haha

I'm getting a sneaky suspicion my ZX5's won't be getting here in 2 weeks like my fitter said they would.😀 That's ok since it's -25 tonight with wind chill. Don't think the courses will be opening anytime too soon.
