I am in Phoenix and am slightly worried about how it will react to firm summer conditions as I am more of a sweeper.

I think it won’t be an issue. It gets firm in the summer where I am and my AoA isn’t that steep either. I don’t have an issue.

Just a PSA, have your specs checked once you actually get them. Had mine checked before the build out and they were anywhere from 3-4* upright (were supposed to be just 1*). The lofts, luckily, were pretty much spot on for all but 1-2 of the clubs.

I was wondering if this massive influx of orders (i.e. them being overwhelmed) might impact build quality.. not on purpose, but due to rushing the orders or fatigue from the guys/gals building the clubs.  Guess this answers my question.

I hit some crisp 7 and 8 irons shots from not great lies yesterday (very dormant wet Bermuda that is almost sandy/muddy/grassless....  that I know would have been garbage from another set ... meaning likely fat

It seems like everyone is getting on the ZX7 train ????

if so ... CHOOO CHOOO

There have been some stories of Srixon builds being “off” for years.  This is not new.

I don't think this problem is unique to Srixon.  For anyone who actually checks their specs on new clubs when they come in, I think most of the companies are not that exact with their builds, and some are just sloppy.

All the ones I've ever had have seemed pretty spot on.  Although that is an extremely limited sample size.

Did get an email response from them this morning (Saturday none the less!) and they provided me with a tracking number, as my order was packaged to ship yesterday.  Only 1 package weighing around 12 lbs, so I'm hoping it's the entire set (4-GW plus 54 and 58 zipcore) and not partial.  So I can safely walk away from the cliff edge now!!!  😅

So I just got on one of my friends indoor simulators for about an hour. Everything I saw on the simulator confirmed what I felt early last month when I got out and played in 45° weather a few times. These feel fantastic at impact. Numbers look really good. The distances are comparable to my P790s which surprised me. I can’t wait to get these out on the course next month when I go on a golf trip.

Build specs are completely hit or miss for every OEM, particularly when it comes to custom builds. It stinks, but if you want it right you really have to measure everything and adjust after you get it.

In general, over the years I've seen better spec consistency for stock off-the-rack stuff vs OEM custom. Of course that does make some amount of sense.

I always get my specs checked from any OEM. I must admit, I've had the best luck with Srixon. This is my first order from them that was off on anything. Again, not a big deal, but for those that don't typically check, if the irons aren't feeling good to you, that may be your issue.

With that being said, today was my first round out with them. If you guys have been watching the s*#% show at Riviera today, that's what I got to play in. Not the best conditions to test new irons out in, but I was VERY impressed with them throughout the round. I hit some shots that felt as pure as anything I've hit in a while. Additionally, I wasn't punished as much on mishits as I am on my current Miuras. Overall, I think these are the best Srixons to date (I have played every version since the 745s). Winner all around if you ask me and they look great.

Picked up my ZX5 5-AW yesterday. Switching from z765s. If I don’t like the 8-PW, I will always replace them with the ZX7.
Got them with the Modus Pro 120 stiff.
To a few of the guys here that offered to help set me up with a set, thanks but I went with my local guy who did a great job.
Unfortunately recovering from some nasty virus, haven’t hit them yet!!

I bought a 5-P sight unseen based on previous experiences with Srixon and my recent disappointments with Taylormade/PXG/Mizuno over the past year of tinkering. I bought the ZX7 in my standard specs from years past so hopefully they’re good to go.

For those of you getting shipping notifications this past week, when did you order? I’m hoping to have mine in early March based on the timing of my order.

ZX-U 4 right

Just a pic for those wanting to see. Not sure if this has been posted yet. I think the utility looks awesome. Will most likely play it instead of the 4 iron.

Does the ZXU launch a lot higher for you? I've tried a number of 4 iron (U45, U85, etc) replacements and they always launch too high for me.

I haven't hit them yet.  Been raining for a month and too cold.  Getting out this week a couple of times to mess around with a lot of the new stuff.

Just got 90% of my ZX5/7 combo set in the mail with c-tapers. Just missing the ZX5 4 iron, for which I’m guessing there is a delay.

feel and looks are just fantastic. Have only hit into mats, but no buyers’ remorse so far, felt like just like hitting them in store but with a better shaft. On that note, these look great against the brushed finish of the c-tapers.

Definitely worth the wait. There are certain irons that come out every few years that you look at and think “these have staying power” (the original RACs for example). I never felt that way about my 919 hot metal pros, but I definitely do with these.image.jpg.dbf50cde529ef6b5305a8c3dad31c117.jpgimage.jpg.ba7e54c77862c7b4bfb9e9f087063b13.jpg
