Srixon 2020 Irons ZX7, ZX5, ZX Utility

I guess I haven't been playing golf long enough for the Cleveland name carry some positive nostalgia. Roger Cleveland has nothing to do with the company or the current wedges so the name is misleading, if that matters. Secondly, all the non-wedge clubs from Cleveland seem like they are marketed towards super game improvement - sets of irons that are all hybrids, etc. Then they have these beautiful "player's" wedges which are far more in line with the ethos of Srixon, and not the rest of Cleveland's product lineup.

But, a good wedge is a good wedge and I'll play what I like regardless of brand. /rant over

Have to agree, love the Cleveland wedges but not at all because of the name or anything to do with Roger Cleveland or the 'nostalgia'

Cleveland wedges vs Srixon argument/stance has been discussed for the last two years. Cleveland has more marketing clout for wedges than srixon does.

I see the Tungsten in the toe of the 7 series, which is a nice addition. Also wider soles so the club stays in the turf a bit longer to impart more spin!

I don't want to get my hopes up but could it be that Srixon have actually listened and gone back to the more squared off toe of the 45 series? I do hope so.

Yes. 51 Degree Gap wedge will be offered. Unfortunately the only picture I found is of the 57 Degree "Sand Wedge" as they like to call it

Edit: My apologies, if you’re referring to the ZX5 then no, I don’t believe they will be offering a gap wedge but I’m not 100% sure on this. I have a buddy who has really close ties with Srixon and he told me they won’t be offering it BUT he has been wrong before.

It’s between the Zx7s or the new TM irons coming out to see if they can knock my 765s out of the bag! Haven’t found anything better than my 765s!

Can someone please confirm if the 7’s still have a V sole? Is yes, is it modified and less aggressive than the 785s? Cheers

For me they look similar to the MP53 and MP63, with more tech incorporated. I loved those irons.

Love the design of the ZX5 and will give them a try when they come out. I though the 585 are great clubs - but simply did not love the design. Probably cost myself a few strokes by not going with them, but every time I saw them in the bag, I just did not love them.
