Man I would LOVE to see Morikawa win this week. He has that it factor and Tiger trajectory so far on tour which is insane. I like him, Bryson, and JT this week. If tiger has a 70 or less Thursday I see him contending too.

As great a story it would be for Tiger to be in the hunt, SF weather is just brutal for someone who needs warm weather. The high will be around 65 and the cold in the upper 50's. The layout is pretty straightforward, not many blind shots or uphill approaches or elevation changes or water hazards. Its all about staying out of the rough and the trees. The fairways have been severely narrowed. I've got to see someone like Kisner or an old Sergio who can rip it consistently as someone who will win. I'd love to see Morikawa, the Cal grad, do it but he's not the straightest off the tee either. Maybe Koepka can do it again, the tamed Bethpage, which demands you hit the fairway.

LOL! The numbers for Tiger are the opposite of what you believe. Here are facts from his comeback starting in 2017 with regards to his performance in different weather conditions. BTW Tiger last won at Pebble in 2000. About 10 surgeries back. It has zero to do with today. Same with Tiger winning at Harding Park in 2005 and going 5-0 in the Presidents Cup in 2009. None of it is relevant to this week. All of your recent predictions that you claim to take it to the house when Tiger plays are great unintentional humor. Hope you don't actually wager money on Tiger based on your predictions. ???

Whilst I am in complete agreement that Tiger seems to need the conditions to suit him before he can be considered as a genuine threat, I love that 60 is considered as cold. In weather like that, we are contemplating shorts, t-shirts and shades over here.

SF has its quirks weather wise. The midday temps will be fine (some would say perfect) if the sun is out. But early and late, the heavy sea air in the 50s can be quite chilly and tough to stay loose if you have an injury. Its not like 50 in the desert anyway. Add in some wind and potential fog and this will be one of the colder places they play. And thats probably half of it, these guys have spent a long while playing in 85+ and humid so its also just a bit of a shock.

The fact we get to finally watch a major this year and that they are playing despite the pandemic is great, and I will enjoy this tournament no matter what. That said, The PGA is the least consequential major and I can't understand why they picked such a boring course. If this were a normal year this would be such a ho-hum tournament. The PGA hit a homerun with Bethpage last year and then it goes to some bland course like this. I don't get it.
