Interesting... I looked up the photos, and none of those three new Apex irons look anything like the ones spotted in Xander's bag or in the Jon Rahm video... wonder what those irons are then that they're playing?!

I just read the WITB for Rahm. They were calling his irons the Apex Protos.

I am guessing that they are a prototype of the X Forged CB.  Probably got an Apex badge to keep things hush hush.

They’re all prototypes until formally released by Callaway.

Yea, my initial thought was “tech” but the loft isn’t consistent with what most tech irons would be.

Apex TCB go between the Pro and cf21 in terms of forgiveness? Or between Pro and MB?

I’d assume T is for tour and goes between pro and mb especially with the loft stated

In the stuff that I saw from the Callaway rep presentation.  I can’t confirm Apex CF21 or Apex TCB... this thread is the first i have heard of those models. Maybe just tour availability.

Fwiw - My fitter said these would be in the cart “end of this week, and available for fittings next week”. zero chance of no leaks within the next 72 hours.

If this is true (and I hope it is... I like options) I still just can't understand the purpose of the X Forged.  I was disappointed Callaway again chose to release the Apex MB with the X Forged separate from the rest of the Apex line even though I get for most they're "more combo comparable" than say MB and Apex Pro but I still like options.  Again, just seems they have no idea what to do with the X Forged name.  

 

They could hire me and I'd explain to them to one year combine and make an ApeX Forged iron... ha ha

They are more X forged protos.. The new apex irons look nothing. AND I MEAN NOTHING like those.. They are worlds apart different.

That’s a good thing. I liked the look of the Apex Pros if the leaked pic of the Apex line was the real deal.

I have not seen any leaks. Just seen them in person.. I dont know what is floating around.

Got to hit them today. Hit the Pro and regular Apex. Currently game the Apex19. Regular 21 seems larger and more offset. Pro is complete redo from 19. Can’t divulge much more, but the Pros are very good looking and pack some tech. Found my 21 irons 👍
