Great question, the TeI3 is more muted and definitely feels like an insert putter.  The KB is GSS with a beach cut through the flange, and as a result feels more like an old school carbon Cameron.  I hope that helps.

Good to hear.  I’ve been keeping a close eye on burns stuff and I really like a few of his head shapes and am curious about the pyramid face.

Scottsdale Golf in the UK. Head and grip in wrapper. They had a few of these and the Morgan model as well which I temporarily owned before realising the insert wasn't sitting flush.

 

This is a great putter. I think they retailed for quite a bit when they first came out.

My DH89 is about to go back to Byron Morgan for a bit of refinement.  "Tai effect" to be done and adding some stamps.  Probably going when "DH89" on the left bumper and "GSS" on the right bumper.  Also the head weight will be added to the outer end of the toe.  Sole to remain clean.  
 

Then again, since I'm not selling the putter ever I am considering putting my name on the bumpers.  If I do I'd have it done like the last picture (not my putter), same font.   Hmmmmmm  

 

To name or not to name?  That is the question.

Been putting horrible for some time now and was playing putter roulette with no real luck. Went to a putter fitting where they adjusted the loft and lie of my spider X - which helped a little but after a few rounds I was back to my old bad putting self. I was getting desperate and searching through my backup bag when I found my old White Hot XG #7 sitting in the bag.  It’s been at least 10 years since I last game it but when I picked it up, something felt right.  Figured I couldn’t putt any worse so brought it out yesterday and bam - 30 putts yesterday and I think I found my new gamer lol.

Like a couple of others, my “new” gamer is actually a club I’d had laying around, in this case for over 20 years.

My future wife bought this putter for me for my 23rd birthday in 1997, the year after Nick Faldo used one to win the Masters. That win is what put Odyssey on the map (see short article here if you are curious, $10 Million Putter)
 

I gamed it for a number of years but at some point, I put a stupid grip on it and then ended up losing all confidence.  I moved on to a 2-Ball and this putter sat in an old bag gathering dust.  Like most of you, there were several more putters that came and went but this one wasn’t worth anything anymore so I just kept it.

Fast forward, I had been gaming a custom fit Edel after going back and forth with a Nike Method Mod90 but nothing was working.  I was missing short putts and my distance control on long putts was awful.  In pure frustration one night I grabbed this putter, made a few short putts on my basement green and said, “I’m just going to use this one and see what happens”.  I didn’t putt great right out of the shoot but was definitely more consistent. I took it to PGASS and put it up against everything I could find and nothing beat it out.  So instead, I walked over to the club repair, grabbed the closest thing to a cord putting grip I could find and I haven’t looked back.  The more I have practiced/played, the more my confidence and feel are getting dialed in.  It’s been back in the bag for about 3 months now and I don’t see it leaving… unless/until I can finally find a Phantom 5 to try out 🙂.

The woody wagon is really pretty cool.  I am never going to sell the putter so I am opting for name.  I know that goes against the standard when moving the putter in the future.  I am going to leave the cavity blank just in case I need to add a bit of lead tape in the future.  I do like clean soles.

Do you notice much difference in feel between the QB6 and QB8? Also, the finish on that QB6 is awesome.

The QB8 is my cousin's putter. I pushed him to buy it and is still his gamer. 

I liked the QB6 more, being a bit longer heel to toe and the finish is 😍.

Been gaming my TP Mills Ming since August. It was at the back of the rotation but is now firmly in the bag. Had to add some lead tape to get to my preferred swing weight.
