Srixon Irons wait time.

We're now getting in one or two sets a week.  They're slowly getting better as inventory improves.  Key in the word, "slowly."  But they're worth the wait.

Ordered a combo set zx5/zx7 with AMT s300 white shafts on 5/19/21 thru DD and I was just informed that it would mid July at the earliest due to the shafts.  I am about to just pull the trigger on an EBay set of these.  Getting a bit frustrated with these wait times.

I ordered a set of ZX5 4-AW with KBS Tour 120 shafts and standard tour velvet grips on June 23rd and got them on Saturday (10 days later). I was shocked because Srixon was warning it would be 4-7 weeks. I have no idea if I got very lucky or if delivery times are starting to improve (I'm in Canada BTW), but I'm thrilled either way.

It's ZX5, but it looks like the same type of silver paint used in the ZX7. Not 100% sure on that though.

Unfortunately, I'm starting to see the same with my zx5 7 iron. Looks like bag chatter rub. I know it won't affect playability in the least but pretty disappointed as I'm someone who is OCD about the condition of their clubs and for the first time in about 4 years has played w/ out covers.  😕

Oof, sorry man. But yeah, I figured it would happen to others as it's clearly a materials issue with that silver paint. I baby my clubs.

I haven't reached out to Srixon yet, mainly because I have non-OEM shafts in my irons and it would be a pain in the arse, but thinking I will soon.

Jeez…brutal. Wonder if it’s a quality control issue with Srixon being so backlogged, or if it’s a design flaw in the ZX5.

Either way, not a good look at all for Srixon and seems like they’ve missed a lot of opportunities to capitalize while the iron was hot over the last few months.

100% that is a QC issue.

On 5/24, I ordered a combo set ZX-5 in 4 & 5 and ZX-7 in 6 thru AW.  +1/4" and 1.5' upright with Project X 6.5 shafts.  The fitter told me yesterday that there were inventory issues (didn't specify which components) and he believed delivery was unlikely until mid-August.  He is going to check in Monday/Tuesday to see if he can get some more specifics.

I knew when I ordered that delivery timelines were pretty stretched out.  I was optimistically hoping for something close to 6 weeks rather than 10-12 weeks.  Still excited about getting these new irons, though!

Update today: the Project X shafts are on back order and not due into Srixon until mid August. Puts my delivery into early September.

That's 14-15 weeks from order. I hope they surprise me and pull it in a few weeks...

Hope that’s not the norm. First set of irons I can see keeping for a long time.

Congrats! I checked the KBS website, and it shows your shafts as in stock (and my pending C-Tapers ordered on June 11 as out of stock). Probably too big a leap, but I wonder if folks waiting on KBS shaft orders can get a sense of whether they are in for a long wait based on KBS's own website inventory reporting.

I guess the July 16th delivery date for the Project X’s got pushed back? Last week I was told July 16th was when the next batch was due in.  Going on 11 weeks wait here ..

You're probably onto something. I suspect the availability of any particular shaft has a big impact on delivery times. The Srixon rep at my club was also saying some grips are hard to source now as well and that could also delay delivery.

I ordered my ZX7s with $ Taper on April 3rd and they show in stock in the KBS website. Srixon says they're waiting on the shafts.

Most of the delays are because of getting the certain shafts as everyone want tour players shafts. Wow must be a lot of scratch golfers on this forum

I heard back from Srixon, they authorized a repair which will be new ZX5 heads. Two weeks turnaround time. I'm a little bit nervous as my clubs are custom built to a D2 swing weight, pretty sure that was probably accomplished with tip weights - I'm assuming they'd leave everything as-is and just replace the heads, but my luck with these clubs thus far (Club Champion ******** sucks) has been terrible.

Either way, good customer service from Srixon and I will probably send them off shortly.

My stock 5-PW with Modus 105 showed up yesterday. Gee these things sure do look good. Off to the range today. The lofts are strong though. I really just feel like I've upgraded my 4-9 irons from my old set. The GW wasn't available when I ordered but they do have the CBX 2 wedge in stock. Not sure whether to just get that in say 48° or order the GW and wait.

How long was the wait for your ZX5 gap wedge? I ordered from TGW on June 4, so I know it's going to be a while...

It took 3 months.

I believe KBS shafts are made by Femco Steel Technologies made in Tiawan.  Not in America.  KBS hq IS in Boulder CO though.

The problem is the asshats at Los Angeles and Long Beach are letting cargo just sit in shipping containers, they don’t give a s h i t. The higher ups are unloading shipping containers, docking ships and letting said containers sit for 30-35 days at Long Beach or Los Angeles before they even unload it, and mind you these goods still have to go through customs…

I looked that up afterwords and it looked wrong to me, too. I’m surprised that they don’t outsource to like Golfworks in certain situations.

Question, are they replacing all heads or just the ones that are showing premature wear?

Srixons really stepped up in the iron world huh? I took 4 years off in the golfing world and read that this brand gets a lot of love. Not to hi jack the thread, but what about the srixons is it that you all like?
