I just recently owned a Bettinardi with a LAGP one35. I’ve briefly played around with a stability shaft. It’s hard to separate feel of the shaft from the putter head. I liked the LAGP a lot on long putts. Within 10-15 I can’t imagine it doing much less you really mishit putts badly.

I thought both were great but it’s hard to justify the price of them unless golf is your job. I think cheaper options will eventually make their way out like what KBS is doing.

@Phabs Did you see a difference between the shafts compared to a regular steel shaft?

@MattUtah So, no substantial difference between old putters with regular steel vs either of these shafts?

Never tried them with the same head back to back so it’s super hard to tell. You can definitely feel these shafts on long putts. I wouldn’t spend $400 on them.

I did see an improvement with both the stability and the lagolf during my quintic session.  I ended up going with the stability and now own 6 of their shafts in my putters

Stability Tour for sure. LAGP didnt do anything for me. I've had the Stability Tour on seven putters now and cannot imagine having another steel shaft again. Makes the head feel good through the ball for pace and I'm not usually sold on the Snake Oil but im in on it!

Another vote for the Stability Tour.  Made a massive improvement in consistency in my Bettinardi BB8 (Anser/blade style putter) and also improved my Spider X (toe hang mallet).

What kind of improvements did y’all see? Was it mostly feel?

For me, with the blade putter, the improvement was in stability and consistency.  I make a better stroke with the Stability Tour.  With the mallet, there was also improvement, but there was already more stability in the higher MOI head, so the relative improvement wasn't as great.

LAGP shaft has a 2° torque, which to be honest,is even higher than a KBS ct tour putter shaft(which is steel and only cost 1/10 of a LAGP shaft).

Stability shaft has a 1° torque, which is the lowest in the market, therefore stability shaft should have a bit more influence, but anyway, these factors are pretty minor so it is mostly about the feel of the putter and your mental, so maybe spending a couble hundred bucks might just save the day ┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌

I have owned two Spider X with Stability Tours. I just finished building a Soto with another. If you have some golf money to spend but nowhere to spend it, it isn’t a bad experiment. My experience is that it makes the putter feel more firm and it is definitely stiffer in flex than a KBS CT.

It is very stable on misshits but don’t expect a drastic improvement in your putting. If you’re patient and you are looking for a new putter, you may find one with a shaft in it already on eBay and save some money that way.

I just ordered a Piretti Cuvio that comes with a LAGP TPZ 135. Really looking forward to trying it. I've got to say, it might be the best deal going to get the LAGP shaft--can't stomach buying a $400 putter shaft alone, but paying $630 for a new custom fit putter with the shaft included for some reason I don't find quite as offensive 😂 (aka club ho logic for the win).

$630 for a putter with a LAGP is a steal. Excited to hear your feedback. I have a SIK coming with an LAGP in the next few weeks.

I’ve tested both pretty extensively (on course, not scientific) and I like the LAGP more. It has so much more feel compared to my Stability 2 Tour. Just made more putts with the LAGP for some reason

played both in Sik putters

However, does it drive anyone else insane that they always come installed in putters where you can see the graphic near the tip of the shaft? Why not just rotate it a little bit so it’s clean. Drives me nuts

Does the hosel matter with these putter shafts?  How would these shafts affect a center shafted putter?

The hosels very much matter.

With the stability, you can install in any style hosel because you have the option of cutting off a portion of the existing shaft and installing it into the stability graphite "tube".

With all of the other graphite shafts on the market, you need a female style hosel, such as a plumbers neck. It can work on a center shafted putter as long as its a hole in the center of the putter. If its a center shafted over the hosel style, won't work, only Stability will work.

I have had a stability shaft in my Kevin Burns the last couple years. I don’t play as much but I could tell off the bat the balance is different with the stability. With the steel the swing weight is a C8 and stability is a D4.5, but because of the counter balance element I have a harder time feeling the head with the stability. I have finally gave up and in the process of order a LAGP shaft. Just unsure which one and doing research right now.

I have a Stability shaft in my Evnroll mallet and the LAGP in a Scotty and a Toulon blade. I prefer the feel of the LAGP and have noticed much better distance control with this shaft.

I have a Stability Tour shaft in my Spider Ex putter and have a LAGP shaft in my LAB Mezz putter.  Since these are different putters, it is comparing apples to oranges but I think I prefer the LAGP.  It has a slightly softer feel than the Stability, but both feel more stable than a standard steel shaft.  On long putts, you can notice the difference between the Stability Tour shaft and a regular steel shaft.

Do these expensive shafts make a difference?  If you believe their biased data, lower torque stiffer graphite shafts help with accuracy.  I took a putting lesson down at TPC Sawgrass with the putting guru Mike Shannon, who has taught 150 different tour players over the past 40 years how to putt, and he believes these shafts make a difference as well.  I don't know if they make a significant difference or not, but we all know that the mental aspect of putting is incredibly important and anything to boost your confidence putting does have value.

I just put the LA TPZ One35 (139 grams) in my Kingston KP1 putter, and it is amazing. Yes very pricey, but snagged one on ebay for $285. It's severely counterbalanced. So at 34.50 inches cut, with a SS GT2.0 Pistol (54 grams, I went light intentionally on the grip, but may drop a 25g in the SS grip cap), it swing weighted at E0!! Perfect and exactly what I wanted. Amazing distance control and feel, even with the ultra stiff shaft. You don't have to work hard to get the ball to the hole. Can see why so many tour players are moving to these (Bryson, Dustin, etc).
