He was trying to hit like a knockdown punch 6 I think and he just kind of gave up on it on the downswing.

The wind blows like this pretty much all Spring and early Summer in South TX.  I have two rounds this year so far in 20 - 25 wind with gusts beyond.  Shot 80 both days and took a triple each day because of a poor pin placement.  Golf gets very interesting when the wind blows.

Played kingsbarnes and the ball would get blown off the green when placing it down. I had a bunker shot dead into wind go up and blow straight bacwards over my head.

No kidding.  I was having trouble understanding why you would do it that way and not consider Scheffler's drop area as being away. 

 

If I've got it right now, Scheffler doesn't get to drop first because his wet ball is closer?  So Kuch shoots first and only then can Scheffler drop.  And only then can you determine who is now away.  

 

I think Faldo was right when he said he's probably done that wrong a lot of times.

 

Still learning stuff, even at an advanced age....

Yeah, I think you think of the drop as Scheffler's shot. I'm imagining a scenario where Scheffler sees his ball in the drink and decides he can actually hit it instead of taking the drop. If so, he's closer than Kuchar, and so obviously Kuchar hits first. Then Scheffler takes the shoes off and gets in the water.

 

Definitely strange.
