I don’t know anything about him other than he was a big part of a great childhood memory between me and my father. Dad was watching the World Series v. The Reds in 1975 and I was supposed to be in bed. I snuck to my bedroom door and was watching the game from there. I blurted out my excitement when Fisk hit the home run and instantly realized I was busted. Heard the recliner close as I hustled back to my bed, knowing I’m dead meat. Nope...Dad grabbed me out of bed and together we were jumping up and down celebrating. Too awake to go to sleep we went to some all night diner and got pancakes. The first truly great night of my life. Always felt connected to Fisk because of that night.

If I'm going with history,  I'd choose:

 

Howard Hughes

Eisenhower

Jesus and friends.  

 

I would pick Jesus / Prophet Muhammad / Buddha / Jehovah / Cthulhu as a match just to watch them all screw around.  I'd be curious if they all knew about the golf jokes told about them.  I'd love to know if they really can command a bird to pick up their golf ball and drop it in the hole while giving a pithy remark.

 

The only problem with this match, though, is that their scores are always only written down by crooked caddies.......
