What three wedges do you roll with? P, Sand, Lob, Gap? Or do you go all 4?

48* PW, 52* Gap, 56* SW. Seems to work well. Gap and Sand are not full swing clubs, PW from 30ish yards out.

I went with P (46,) Gap (50), Sand (54) and Lob (58). My course isn't very long so it isn't often that I have anything other than a wedge into the green so I figured it would make the game easier for me and it has.

I used to be averse to lob wedges. Recently picked up an RM4 60* that I like a lot. So currently:

46* PW, 50* (will be 51*) AW, 56* SW, 60* LW.

 

I reserve the right to break up with my LW at any time...

I like the transition of grinds. standard blade to F grind in 49* which is still fairly stock looking. high bounce 54*, low/mid bounce 59*

I have the Titleist T300 PW @ 43 degrees, T300 GW @ 48 degrees, Vokey SM8 F Grind @ 53 degrees/12 degrees bounce, Vokey SM8 @ 58 degrees / 10 degrees of bounce.

I usually carry 47°, 52° and 60°. Sometimes I'll carry 47°, 52°, 56° and 60°, other times just 47° and 56°. Depends on what I feel like carrying.

Obviously the numbers on my iron set are all “wrong.” By loft it’s closer to a traditional 4 wedge set up. When I go out with a a half set I’ll usually only take the AW and 56 or PW and 52 depending on where I’m playing.

If I go 46-50-54-58 then I have 3...which I tried for last several years- new style

 

If I go 47-52-58 I now have 2....old school basically [Eye 2+ sw & Eye 2 sw] as I played for roughly 15 years.

I’ve got 47-> 54 -> 60.  I really prefer hitting 120-126 with my 47 than with my 54 or a hypothetical 51.  I recently realized I don’t really have a 130 shot and need to work on shaving only 8-10 yards off the 47.

52' Gap = 30yds-100yds Vokey SM6

58' LW = 5yds - 85yds Vokey SM6

 

No purpose having more wedges.  I can handle anything inside 118yds with the above "3" three.  There may be a green condition where I use 9i, but that's it.

48,52,56. I also have a 60 which I only recently acquired. I was a scratch for most of my golfing life and I still consider a 60 to be a speciality club that most amateurs don't need and shouldn't even use. I've always been able to open my 56 to play a lob when needed. I only put the 60 in the bag for specific courses or conditions; maybe 10% of the time at most. After a 1 1/2 years with the lob I still am more comfortable opening the 56.
