I gotta do some rearranging between the 3w and 4i, a.k.a the “I can’t hit anything worth a crap today” spot.

Dude ... I did the same thing. I got sick of hitting my 3 and 4 hybrids the same distance (160 yard duck hooks) so I replaced them with a 3 iron. I got tired of coming 10 yards short every time I hit the lob wedge, so I dumped it. Never replaced either one.

That's gotta be a misprint, right? I mean, it's only 13 clubs, and nobody is playing on tour without a putter. Unless they checked after the round and it was broke over a knee.

I'm not in there. Driver, 3 hybrids (17*, 19*, 21*), 6-PW, 56*, 58*, putter.  Probably will add a 50-52* wedge this year.  The 17* hybrid I use like a 3w.

2 Driver 3 Utility irons 6-9 4 wedges is Phil Mickelson. No surprise that's a unique setup.

 

I'm currently 1 Driver 1 Fairway 2 Hybrids 5-9 Iron 4 Wedges. (That's set PW 48 53 58) 1 putter 

 

I've been all over the place before though. 2 Drivers. 0 drivers. Multiple fairways no fairways. Sometimes hybrids sometimes utilities sometimes neither. Sometimes 3 specialty wedges sometimes 2 sometimes 1. I think even 4 one time.

 

The most common set up I've used since 2015 when I started playing "good" (single digit handicap) golf has been:

 

1 Driver 1 Fairway 1 Utility 4-P 3 Wedges Putter. So the most basic of set ups according to this study.

It would be interesting to see the same breakdown for The Masters as I suspect we would see the numbers move as more players include a 7 or even 9 wood.

My 4H replaced my 3i, but I’m considering a Ui and 5W and dropping the 4H.

Group #1 or #2 for me, depending on weather. On windy days, I'll opt for the stock 3 iron over the hybrid 3 iron.

I'm using the same setup right now. I think it fits Group #16.

I may end up swapping the 52 for a 50 here soon. a 45deg PW is leaving a big gap between that and the 52.

Good timing.  Went thru many witb’s and noticed not as many hybrids even in the pre Open set ups at the PGA level.   see why they take it out for The Open, but few and far between when in normal tourneys.

Its either group 1 or 2 for me, technically its group 2 because I have a stronger lofted T100S 3 iron with a graphite shaft played at 2 iron length, this club is primarily a tee club so it could almost be considered to be a utility iton.

If I were going there to play, I would be setup like the 24% group. I would replace my high lofted FW with my UI. All the rest would be normal.
