Hit it with more velocity today.  Thursday he didn't have much for speed.  They showed that Thurs on the range he was 171 and today was 179.  Wish I could pick up 8-9 mph overnight.

I find this funny and disingenuous on Faldo's part. Tiger has been in constant pain for years. Not a state secret. Is Nick just finding this out?

I think this is new pain in addition to the stuff he has always experienced. It's not like his back and neck suddenly got better after the crash. You could see him today after a few shots reacting like he had back pain after a swing. That is in addition to what he is now having in his right leg.

Just heard commentator say Tiger is -46 to par on Saturday's at ANGC. That's 20 plus shots better than #2, that's crazy good. Hope he has some of that magic today.

Just making the cut - especially when plenty of big names didn't - is good enough for me. 

 

There was no chance he was going to win this. Hell, even if he was playing well, no one is catching Scheffler.

He's just flat out worn down already. There was ZERO way to emulate 4 days of Augusta leading up to this.

I've not ever been a big Tiger fan but I gained some new respect for him after his interview last night.  He made no excuses and he didn't perseverate on his pain when asked about it.  It's obvious he is very tired and likely in pain a great deal today and I give him a lot of credit for playing through it

Exactly!  Unlike Klay Thompson coming back after 2 years and playing 5-8 minutes at first, or a pitcher with a pitch count after shoulder surgery Tiger can't take holes off, well he could withdraw but that's not him.

 

A few more less hilly courses will help, St Andrews is next? That's pretty flat isn't it?
