They weren't kidding about the weather being crappy today. It was absolutely beautiful when I left for work about 7:30 but quickly started clouding over. Now rain, thunder & lightning & looks like it's going to get worse as the day goes on. For reference I'm about 30 miles west of Augusta.

So after the presser we heard from Tigers own mouth… 

 

-He’s wearing the FJs because they offer the additional stability he now needs and Nike is working on giving him a shoe that fits his needs. ✔️
 

-The hitting the ball (golf) part isn’t the issue. It’s the walking on a hilly course for 4 conservative days. ✔️
 

-Also, within the first 3 months after the accident, even Tiger would have been very skeptical if you told him that he’d be playing this week. ✔️
 

-And most importantly, as of now the plan is to play and he thinks he can win! 🙌🏼

Well, he shot 40 going out in round 1 in 97. Ended up with a 70. 
 

So I think he’ll probably at least give it til Amen Corner ; )

Regardless of the outcome this week, based on his mannerisms and the tone of his voice during the presser he seems pretty optimistic about his game moving forward.

Perhaps not having to face the press helped him. The adversarial and curt replies are gone for now, but there also weren’t as many dumb questions.

 

He seemed mature, relaxed and truly grateful to be at Augusta.

 

The press make their living off Tiger. Tiger doesn’t make his living off them.
