Without a doubt, Tiger has been the pulse of golf for over 20 years. He’s provided some of the greatest moments in golf, since Jack Nicklaus.

 

He’s been the inspiration for many and is the epitome of dedication and work ethic.

 

If you emulated his daily determination to being the best he could be, you’d be a star in your work. And it doesn’t matter if you push a broom or write code or drive a truck.

 

At the end of your life, if people said that they respected that you tried your best and worked hard to be the best you could, you’d have lived a good life.

Yep!  Personally I could care less, it’s not like he is close to competing.  There should have been a thorough investigation, but he can thank Kobe for that.

Just saw the video, he's well on his way back. Torrey is a realistic goal at this point, I bet it's circled on TW's calendar right now. 67 days until the tournament starts, no doubt he can play if things go well and he wants to. Get ready for TW Act 3 - Return of the Woods.

 

Edit: About walking 18, can TW ride a cart with a doctor's note? Not sure if TW would be willing to do that, but it might make sense for his first few tournaments.

 

Edit2: A few small details maybe folks missed. The range basket is huge and TW placed his ball behind a giant divot patch. It's likely that TW created that divot patch himself, which means he's probably on ball # 40 or higher. So it's not like he's hitting one ball, he's out there hitting a good sized range bucket. And notice TW has the Flightscope out! He's not just warming up or testing his leg. He's out there getting data, working on his swing, working hard to return to the Tour.

 

This is notice to the haterz, TW will return and win once again.

With all due respect to the recovering Tiger Woods, this frenzy of interest regarding his "comeback" has me baffled.  As I write this, the thread is some 10 pages long, with most feverishly anticipating just when Woody will tee it up again as he prepares to again dominate professional golf.  And to this is I must ask: just what are you smoking?   Can't we maintain some realistic expectations here?  The guy is 45 years old, years past his prime, now operating with a battered and bruised body.  Yes, the 2019 Masters win was nice (especially nice that his closest competitors Molinari, Finau, Koepka and Poulter all conveniently drowned a tee shot on number 12.) Nobody is taking anything away from TW's career, but come on...the days of Tiger Woods commanding leaderboards are over.  Another Tour victory?  Perhaps.  Another two?  You believe this only if you have the TW posters from 2008 still on the wall of your basement man-cave.

Man I wish I was motivated enough to research all the posts pre-2018 where folks said Tiger is washed, will never win again, he's done, he should retire in a wheelchair etc..

Then the posts post-Tour Championship "its just a Tour even, he'll never ever win a major again". 

 

I think the question is - what are YOU smoking?

 

I will save this post to my bookmarks so I can bring it up when he wins the 2023 Masters 🙂

You’re kidding right? The 2019 Masters wasn’t just some fluke, he very easily could’ve won the 2 majors prior to that Masters. He won the Tour Championship a few months before and the Zozo later that year, with several other high finishes from 2018-2020 rising back up to a top 10 ranking.  Phil Mickelson who is 5 years older just won a major a few months back.  He is not only by far the most famous and popular golfer, he’s also one of the best when healthy. This idea that he doesn’t rate attention is nonsense.
