1st generation PM's are my favourite. I'm still using them, way past their use-by date.

I have the new Callaway 58* full face and love it, ordered the 54* but it is back ordered for another month or so. The 58 is great around the greens and makes traps a non issue for me, just thump it out and play for a lot of spin.

I have tried it from 75-90 yards or so and had some great shots but if I am not careful it seems to be pretty easy to hit it fat on a full swing. More mental than anything but it has happened a few times from perfect lies and to me is the most frustrating shot in golf to waste a chance at a easy par or birdie.

I have the Zipcore Raw in a 60* and it is the best one on the market I think. It looks the best out of the "High-Toe, Full Face" wedges, and feels really good, all while performing well. I would have to say that the Jaws Full-Toe looks really good too and is probably a clear #2 in my books, but the Zipcore is just the superior one to me!

I got the satin 58* zipcore full face and would definitely recommend it.  I didn't want to wait for the Jaws.

Callaway Jaws Full Toe.  Just as good for full swings as it is for partial shots.

Impressive spin and look and feel great.

I got the 58 in Chrome but ended up giving in and get the 54 and 58 in black.  Favorite wedges I have played in a long time.

Have not put my hands on these. What about the size compared to the PM grinds?

Having played the 52* and 58* zipcore full face since they came out,  they are worth your consideration if you are in the market.

Very versatile from all kind of lies around the green. I am very satisfied with these wedges . As always YMMV.

A shout for the Wilson Staff HT, I'm a big fan.

Face shape is somewhere between the PM and a 'standard' face shape so abit more real estate in the toe than the zipcores but not silly. Far better on full shots than the PM for me. Sole grind is abit like a low bounce Vokey K grind so good from the bunkers but nice off tight lies too, it says 10 degrees bounce on the sole but to me it plays less as its quite a wide sole that the measurement is taken from. It's quite a different prospect the PM grind. I actually found it abit too low bounce with the leading edge digging on softer ground so I've ground the leading edge slightly for a 'pre-worn' kind of thing to stop it digging and it's been a revelation. If they offered the 56 with abit more overall bounce I'd be adding one to go with my 60.

For those that don't like the PM grind sole, it's definitely worth a look.

Only hit the PM grind at Carls Golfland and it is/was an odd shape to me.

PM grind, from my eye, seems bigger with a higher toe peak and squarer toe area.  Something about the leading edge also played with my mind.

Full Toe seems to appear like a “normal” wedge size at address albeit with the full face of grooves.

Some screen shots to show a comparison.

Cleveland cbx full face is the real deal. Have the 58° and it's the easiest wedge to play I've ever owned. I tried the Callaway and Taylormade prior but going on a year now with the cbx.

Dunno if anyone has mentioned the Cobra snakebite wedges yet.

They are full face groves without the high toe shape. I can't say enough good things about them. They are better than my SM7s I switched from, and the full face grooves make them more versatile to.

I tried then out due to pure curiosity, and I knew I had to buy them after about 10 swings.

I had the the original PM Grind in 58*. It is a very effective wedge. Amazing out of bunkers. That being said, I never got used to the look f it. The offset and radiused front edge

never suited my eye. I played the MD5 in 54* & 58* last year and love them. But when I saw the Callaway Full Toe come out I was very interested trying one in 58*.

Now this wedge suited my eye much better than the PM Grind. You can see this in the pics posted by Radeon962. I picked up a 58* in the black finish. So far, it checks all the boxes for me. Performs similar to the PM IMO. To me they feel better as well. I'd say the sound/feel is slightly firmer than the MD5 Jaws wedge. Callaway states the toe pad and the graduated sole weights raise the center of gravity for lower launch with more spin. I can vouch for the lower launch. I've never felt comfortable hitting "full shots" with my 58*, but that has changed with the Full Toe wedge. I'm very happy with it, being a Callaway guy. But I do think the TaylorMade Hi Toe and Cleveland Zip Core full face are also good looking choices.

using first generation 58 PM grind, without a doubt the best club I have ever used from bunkers in 50 years of playing. Went to EBAY and found two more in excellent shape as I never want to be without one of these in the bag. Have one in silver and two in the black finish which does seem to hide the offset to my eye somewhat

Just wondering wxer’s thoughts. I got the older PM grind Callaway’s and a 64 cbx. Not thrilled with either but still intrigued. Any opinions of the Zip Cores?

What's your miss, because that is going to a huge component.  If You find hitting the middle is the issue then you want to go with something a lot more heavy and easy to hit centered, like the Mizuno ES21, Taylormade Hi-Toe Big Foot, Ping Glide Eye-Sole, or Callaway Mack Daddy CB.  If heavy is your miss, err on the side of more bounce like the Big Foot and CBX2.  If you want more versatility, the Zip Core might be what you are looking or even the standard Hi-Toe but don't expect them to be much different than what you already own.

I'd like to try these. Played MIMs for a couple months and got really solid performance. Only downside, I wasn't getting enough spin on them.

I really like the '19 PM Grinds, but I also think it has to do with the KBS HiRev 2.0 shaft for me. I don't hit a lot of full shots with the 58*, and I find the 54* very versatile.

That said, I'm interested in the new Cally's, mainly due to lower bounce and the C Grind.

Spin wise the new TM MG3 blew the Callaway' away, though.

So many choices......
