Fujikura Ventus TR

Interested on any more info on the TR 6tx. Had to let the 6x go as it was a bit too loose. Now tossing between going TR 6tx or back to VB 6x.

The feel of TR was great as well as the centred strikes so am leaning that way as I felt the VB 6x previously to be a bit of hard work.

Any recommendations from those who’ve gamed both?

FWIW driver as sits around 120mph

Thanks 🙏🏽

So full TR line looking interesting.

It's probably going to be tough to get me out of the TR Blue as it's been a beast - but the TR Black certainly looks interesting.

Yes! This just made things more interesting. Seems like TR black even stiffer than OG. Might go the TR 6tx first and see how we go.

Keep us updated if you get a tx. Im kinda in the same boat as you with my blue tr6x. Ive now gamed all 4 ventus shafts and have enjoyed them all with great results but of all of them i enjoyed the feel of the black the most. Linear without being a total pole.

I like the black enough to keep it, but the Blue TR just feels so nice.  I feel like the Black TR is going to be Fuji's version of the Diamana PD (which I did not care for whatsoever).

From what i gather the blue TR 6tx would sit right in between the blue Tr 6x and the black 6x in terms of feel and total stiffness.

Just got a Ventus "Blue" TR 7-x last Saturday. I've only smashed a ton of range balls, but the feeling it delivers is spot on. I had been playing 8TX boardy shafts and some really low torque 7x stuff and wasn't able to get the club face closed over in time.

My fitter was confident the Ventus Black was what I needed on paper, however, I was missing the feel. Similar story with the Tensei RAW White 7x, no feel but decent numbers.

The Ventus Blue TR is interesting, for an X flex, it's quite whippy, which for me, brings a lot of nice feeling and comfort in the swing, to be able to feel the transition better in the top of the swing, and to also get the club face turned over more through impact. Just what I needed.

Looking forward to testing it out on course this coming weekend, as i haven't been checking any numbers with it.

Mine is paired up with the Rogue ST Triple D.

I do love this shaft very much.  I wonder if the Red and Black TR's will have that speckled paint job.  My buddy already calls my 3w the Ferrari because of the OG Red.  Would look even better with the speckles.

Any insight?

Play the Black 8x in driver.

The TR supposed to be more handle stiff....... but not cause the butt flex is 78 TR and 77 regular black 8x which is stiffer by 1 flex lol 🦃

...now the Tip is stiffer in TR going from 66 regular to 62 TR

From their website specs chart...

I have a 7x tr blue tipped 1 inch.

I have a 7s black tipped 2 inches.

The 7s tipped is lower spin than the tr. Flex wise they feel the same.

might need to name it twinklerbell or twinkle toes, she's shiney all right ! It's strange, because if you're indoors, it just looks navy and when you get it outside, it's full disco mode.

I gamed the DI and the Blue TR launches lower, has a flatter trajectory and spins a little less.  Doesn't kick as much either.  I would say the Red TR might be the better fit.

Any of the TR shafts are going to feel significantly tighter and should play much stiffer overall compared to the AD DI. I know a lot of people have at least tried the DI so they want to compare everything to that, but in my opinion the TR Blue will feel totally different. For me the DI had that massive kick and could feel the bend point/hinge in the mid section of the shaft, i think the AD TP is a better comparison to TR Blue.

I played the GP before switching to Ventus. Find the TR blue very similar in feel

Never got a chance to hit the GP, but i know a guy that still plays it in driver and loves it. I know Fujikura has TR for all 3 colors now, but the TR blue feels nothing like the regular Ventus Blue. It feels more like a Ventus black with a softer mid/upper-mid section, and feels smooth but plays like a stiffer shaft. It’s basically the exact shaft profile I’ve been wanting my entire golfing life.

Thinking about giving the TR blue another shot, this time in the 6TX flex. I compared the Black 6X which I am currently gaming to the TR Blue 6TX and they are more similar than different other than the bend point. I feel like I would need to put much less focus on trying to swing up on the ball with the TR Blue plus the added feel bonus.

Not sure if this chat is dead but I went through the whole Ventus Blue journey. My SS is about 107 to 110.

Had a Ventus Blue 6S and was hitting it crazy left no matter how I tipped it, went to 6X still missing left.

Got the Ventus Blue TR 6X but realised it’s 4 grams heavier so I had to mess around with my grip and head weights. Was hitting well but traded for a VB TR 6S because launch was too low and it’s the best performing shaft for me now but spin is a little higher than I like it and still feels heavy.

Wondering if anyone is in the same boat and considering a Ventus Black 5X because that’s as close to 60grams as you can get. VB TR is 68g! Theoretically I should swing faster when it’s lighter, but consistency? Hate it when there’s no place to test every option!

Hear that.  I really want to try a TR red 6x (I have TR blue 6x now) to see if I can get launch up a bit - Blue is a true mid flighter for me.  I do enjoy it.  But I like those high majestic towering T shots that everyone just stares at.  lol

Same boat, but not as far along on the journey, haha.

My swing speed is 104-111. I wrapped up multiple sessions on Trackman and also at the range with a TR Blue 6S. Everything was starting left and staying left. I have a TR Black 6S on the way. I'll report back once I can test it out.

same problem here, same Swing Speed and same shaft in a Taylormade Sim2 with 9 degree loft.
I’m very interested in how you get rid of this „left-left“ problem
