Wonder if they remove the reflective dots before he puts it in play, didn't a player get penalized severely / withdrawal late last year for the same thing on tour? 

 

Can't say I'm surprised his isn't anything like the retail variant.. his swing isn't very retail either.

Yes, I believe they use Beta titanium in these so they don't break so easy, more expensive material that makes the contact feel harder also so no reason to use in the retail heads. 

 

I believe Mizuno is the only one to use Beta Titanum in the drivers at to moment.

The feel is different with hot melt.  A lot of times players use lead tape for testing to get it dialed in before hot melting.  Bryson tests so much that lead tape may always be a better solution though.

I find this interesting.  Does anyone know which one Kyle is using?  I would have thought with their speed that they would have to fight spin any way they can.  Of course, with their speed, I suppose they also have to do whatever they can to keep it on the planet.

I speak under correction but recall reading a Tom Wishon article that cites that loft does more to reduce spin than weighting. So assuming the 5 degree head is killing the spin needed...

That would not make a ton of sense since Bryson basically claimed he and Kyle designed the face themselves.  Would be a big backtrack if all of the sudden he had them use the OG LTD face.

Noticed that too. I’ve be interested in that. The milled face is hard feeling. I hated it.  But loved the look of their drivers and the price  point.

Even though us mere mortals couldn't handle Bryson's actual driver, I bet Cobra would sell a lot more if they offered it for sale, like the Tiger spec irons and wedges that TM sells.

If what TXG said is true on their Cobra driver video, Bryson hit 221mph of ball speed during the release/demo day and probably with this driver. I dunno if he'll do it, but if Bryson airs it out and cracks off a 210+mph in a PGA Tour event jaws will hang. It doesn't mean he's gonna win this week, but it'll be fun regardless LOL.

I agree, but it wouldn't be good for marketing if they said it was the old face on Bryson's prototype. Visually the faces look identical minus the infinity logo, and Bryson goes back to the LTD everytime he has issues with the newer drivers. Kind of a "im not sayin, just sayin" situation.

Interesting to hear Bryson on Rick sheilds podcast ( at about the 43 min mark ) mention next year's cobra driver and how the ltdx is a precursor to it seems to be pretty excited for that driver

I do not think Bryson truly has a clue of what he wants.  He said the same thing about this driver numerous times.  Rad Speed is an absolutely phenomenal driver.  No driver is ever going to make him happy.

May be for CT control. Kyle Birkshire and Bryson used a Radspeed driver with a shaved face in long drive completion.

From what I understand, Bryson did not like the look or performance of the milled infinity face. Im pretty sure he is why you no longer see the roll over on the topline in the LTDx.
