Anyone have a release date yet?

I’ve heard a few different ones thrown out there.

Feb 24th being the latest date I’ve heard for the 430 release.

Our first order arrived yesterday, with PING's traditional "do not display before" paperwork. I believe the date on it was January 26. Preorders start Jan 10.

Placed my pre order today coming from the 425 max just swapping heads I saw a few hundred revs less spin and better ball speed.  My furthest drives were with the lst but it was nowhere near as forgiving and mishits were dramatic drop offs.  430 feels and sounds much better as well.  Demos should be arriving this week.

I borrowed a 9* G430Max today set to flat and weight on toe.  Front nine played a Ventus TR 7 S Blue and back nine played with a LAGP Trono 65 x.  The G430 Max is the straightest most forgiving driver I have ever played.  Did not hit one bad drive. Only missed 1 fairway and that was a fairway bunker I didn’t carry.  Toe hits are so forgiving. It hits higher than the G425 Max that I currently bag with distance being about the same.  Whatever Ping did they hit another home run.  It’s not as left biased as the G425 Max.  I’m getting one as soon as it becomes available at retail.  Bye bye 425.

Great to hear - one question though - g425max was "left-biased"?  I found it draw-prone myself - just wanted to check - thanks

A follow up to my 430lst driver update a few weeks back, I have moved it along. I gave it a good second chance and whilst i was getting better results than initially, they still lacked for me - the slighter miss hits dropped off pretty hard in distance. My miss hits with my 425lst keep up with the better struck ones with the 430lst. Club just wasn’t for me. Moving on.

side note - one of my club pros that was present for my fitting asked me how it was going and I explained all of the above and he was genuinely surprised BUT he was very quick to tell me that they have already had issues with face cracking. Apparently one fellow member cracked the face after 6 holes.

Yes my G425 Max is draw/left biased.  Even with a LAGP TRono 65x it’s still left biased.  -1.5 weight on toe setting.

The G430 Max was not left or draw biased at all.

These are also my findings after 9 rounds.  It's so solid.  Not sure it would win a long drive comp but misses seemed minimised whilst still maintaining decent numbers for very playable results.  Sound, feel, aesthetics and ball flight are all terrific.

Comparison pics of the G430 Max 5 wood versus the G425 Max 7 wood.

Super similar looking except for the carbon wrap, which is quite subtle and you almost have to be looking for it to notice it.

Looks great!  If you can, would you mind weighing the G430 5W head?  I currently game the G425 Max 5W with the Ventus Red 7X (42” @ D2). My 5W head weighed in at 216g and curious to compare difference.

It's 218g, I would have guessed it was lighter.

It's a stock Alta CB S flex at 42.5" although Ping may have added extra weight to keep SW the same with a midsize grip. I was fitted to a different shaft but if the stock shaft keeps performing I'll gladly save the money.

Thank you!  Yeah, I would’ve guessed it to be about 2 grams lighter as well.

Hit several drives with the G430 last Saturday.  Better sound than G425 but other than that just a new paint job.  Looks aren't better.

Have a quite a few swings in with the Ping G430 lst 9* and the BGT Brava X shaft. This thing is amazing. I started with the flat -1* setting and weight nuetral Sunday night.  Really good numbers with a solid 10-15 yard draw. Moves the weight to the fade setting and hit the ground before the ball 4 straight times. Completely changed the feel and timing for me. Went back to the neutral setting and right back to the draw and solid contact.

Stopped after work to get some more swings and numbers with winter league starting. From the first swing I got the same numbers and flight as last night. Just so consistent. Wanted to try the fade setting again to see if I could lessen the draw. First swing, bam hit the ground. Decided to go to  the big minus(-1.5*) instead of flat -1*.  Perfect. Ball speed up 1-2 mph, launch stayed the same but ball flight was now a 5-10 yard draw. Exactly what I’m looking for.

This combo is as long(not longer) as anything I have ever hit but definitely more consistent with spin and distance. The feel of the face with the Brava shaft is intoxicating. I just wanted to keep hitting it.

My guess is that the fairways will be the star of this generation.

They have kept or enhanced everything that was good about them (forgiveness, easy to launch) and fixed the stuff that wasn't great (spin, sound).

Hybrids may be the same because they appear to have a very similar tech story to the fairways but I haven't tested those yet.
