Was able to pick up a pretty sweet 2022 Toulon Chicago putter with a Stability shaft on clearance.  Got it today.  It's in great condition.  Looking forward to testing it out on the course

Thats a fitting head which is mis-marked as tour issue. If it was tour issue the serial would start with a TC and not just a V. Not that its not a cool head though since its adjustable.

What is the glue on the stickers made from?  It just won't come off with normal methods like soap and water.  The stickers adhere well though, lol.

Oh ok. Well I guess I’m alright with that as I just wanted an adjustable head. The adapter is kind of weird though as it’s smaller than the ones I’m used to.

Comes off easily with mineral spirits. Also acetone but thats a bit aggressive.

A little peanut butter (no joke) rub it on there and take a paper towel/wash rag etc and comes right off

To echo a lot of the thread participants, huge shoutout to Cole for finding me an Outlet condition Toulon Garage Atlanta in Rose Gold. It cost less than the typical listed price for a standard Atlanta on the site.

Supposedly it is 20% of clearance right now, but it is not working on the website.  I guess I just have to call in?  

 

There are a few items I have been watching which are essentially same price as before the clearance "sale," and even plenty of clearance items that are not even 20% off their listed regular price.  And 20% off doesn't show up in the cart like with the normal 20% off clearance sales.  For example:

So you guys have been asking 'how do you find this stuff on CPO' so here's a few pointers on combing through the website;

 

Two types of items get sent to CPO for sale that are tour issue;

1) Tour van clubs that players tested which are assembled and given back after testing on the range which arent given way to friends or etc and accumulate on the truck.

2) Extra heads from previous lines or less-popular heads from any lines they need to remove from the trucks to make room, which are sent back to Carlsbad and/or the assembly plant in Mexico and assembled with really old shafts and then sent to CPO for sale.

 

Full-site search;

1) Every day I type 'tour certified' in the search bar to see whats new that pops up. Comb through it. YMMV. Inventory is updated every few hours on the website. Even in items already listed like Mavriks and etc - new heads in new lofts and etc will pop up daily. This is how I found double-dash Optifit 3 adapters on some tour van turn-ins.

 

Clearance section pointers;

1) Think of the clearance section as a used bin from a local store, stuff is all over the place with prices and markings/etc

2) New items are at the bottom. What I usually do is scroll ALL THE WAY to the bottom and keep the items loading until nothing loads anymore and then see whats new. I do this every morning with my coffee lol

2b) I usually pre-filter the page by 'Callaway' and 'Mens/Right' for me personally

3) After the clearance page is done loading I search the entire loaded page for 'tour certified' right off the bat to see if anything was updated or etc with that phrase. Sometimes i'll do 'diamond' as well to see what pops up.

4) Sometimes items are NOT marked as 'tour certified' which is their way of saying tour issue. They have hourly workers checking these items in and some arent golfers. This is where you have to infer what items are or do detective work, and know what items are tour issue by being well-versed in Callaway stuff. For instance I saw a driver not marked as TC, but it had a 10.5+ loft in the specs. Thats tour only. I also look for TX flex, 6.5 Flex, Tour X flex, and etc in the shaft specs listed - yes of course some people can play those flexes but I would say 80% of the time it's a tour issue club (and its free returns within 14 days so always worth a shot if you want to make finding TC clubs your other hobby)

5) Another thing I look for is weird lofts. Sometimes TC clubs will have tour-only lofts in certain models and this is where it gets really specific - such as the 17* or 20* Mavrik Sub Zero (tour only), or the 8.5* drivers (tour only in most lines prior to the Paradym this year), or etc. You just have to know that stuff off-hand or do some research if it looks non-retail.

 

Here's a pointer for NON-CLEARANCE listings within the listings;

As I mentioned above with the old shafts for some listings - you'll notice them if you look right now on the site. 2020-2022 model heads with like Diamana D+ shafts, Diamana S+, Fujikura Fuel, Evenflow Riptide, stock shafts, etc etc. Basically assembled and listed as 'LIKE NEW' (important factor because a trade-in with an old shaft would probably be graded as 'good' or under) generally means it was a TC head assembled in a batch of heads with old shafts worth nothing to them and then made for sale.

It was mostly a joke (since its an iron). For some reason irons and wedges dont ever make it to CPO. I think they 'fall off the truck' much more easily than woods. Plus an item like this was a smaller run than retail with TC laserings.

 

BUT - one day someone might order an XF UT and get one of these randomely. Wouldnt surprise me.

Oh for sure, it was a joke back then but you've thoroughly documented how many odd tour issue parts have ended up on CPO since then (props for that btw 💪) so I thought i'd check, hah. I consistently come back to the X-Forged UTs as my favorites so i'm definitely coveting one of those tour issued musclebacks.

So talking about how to find tour issue stuff like I explained above heres an example someone can purchase and see:

 

I'm combing through the clearance wedges this morning cuz im bored and it's rare any TC wedges make it out for sale on CPO.

Says the head is a "Light Head Version" which should mean it has the "L" stamped on the hosel which means its a tour issue wedge and should have a TC serial engraved on it.

Pair that with the fact it was a Modus 130 shaft in it which is rare to see makes me think it *probably* is but YMMV.
