The Tour driver is a very nice looking head.   Not that the normal Black Ops isn’t but the Tour just has a classy look to it due to its shape and finish.  

Was a disappointed not to win the competition?   Sure.   
 

But I was certainly happy that my current driver performs exceptionally well and I didn’t have to spend $1000 on a new driver/shaft.   lol.  

Epic Speed is a very fast head. With annual releases from so many companies, drivers get forgotten about quickly. But it’s still got a following because it’s workable and long.

I was able to test out normal BO vs BO Tour 1 last night and the Tour 1 seemed to be the ticket for me. The Tour 1 is the first driver in 4 or 5 years that has given similar, if not better numbers than the OG Sim. I will have to get those side by side to see if I’ll put the Tour 1 in the bag. 
 

Both heads are 8* and were set to the small minus (-1*) with the heavier weight (12.5g) in the back.  Used the GD AD-VF in both heads as well.

Not for nothing, but I saw and believe what they talk about in that video. In my fitting, I was blown away at how good Black Ops is. It's a forgiving 8 degree head that's lower spin, fully adjustable, and super stable/consistent on mishits. I really hope my on course results mirror my fitting because it was nothing short of fantastic!

Indeed, but the change in strike pattern was really interesting. He went from beating the low heel of his TSR driver to death to hitting the BO in the center. Very impressive example of fitting.

I dont believe that works except directly via PXG since DD would not make enough $ otherwise.

I’ve made a few pxg orders and have always had issues with FedEx out of phoenix. Wish they would drop them and offer free shipping like everyone else…

 

In related terms the black ops seems to be a real hit. Would be interested in a demo sometime

Agree, but maybe if they offered premium two day shipping we would not be having this conversation.  I have never purchased one club from them that had quick shipping or shipping that was delayed.   And not like am not purchasing many clubs from them either.   🙂 

 

I will stop it now, but just an easy fix for PXG and make it much better for their customers to have the expected premium experience for the cost of their clubs.

FedEx and UPS around here deliver consistently in the same relative time frames. The difference is UPS will Estimate/Promise Wednesday and deliver Wednesday. For the same shipment, FedEx will Estimate/Promise Tuesday and still deliver Wednesday.

So, did I win or lose? UPS usually is a little more costly. So in the literal sense since I've determined the actual delivery date is the same for both based on 10/hr E-Logged trucking routes with hubs, I have not lost.

But I get annoyed because FedEx makes promises they can't keep. Though now, I just add a day. LOL

Well DD was more expensive than hero discount. Really want to buy one but I don't know why the $40 shipping bugs me so much.

The spin on the Tour 1 is scary low, definitely flirting with bombs or knuckle balls, unless you hit up like crazy.

I don't hit up too much, just went with 10.5 instead of 9, and the T-1 is a monster for me. Getting fit or fitting yourself properly is key like always.

I'm waiting for these to be available for fitting up in Canada along with a few shafts in the next 2 weeks but I assume I'll hit either of these heads so curious to see how they do.

Was having similar issues as Michael in this video at a recent TM demo day and the rep did the exact same thing Ian did but with the Qi10 LS. Switched to an 8* head turned up .75 Up and moved the sliding weight into the heel. The results were shocking. I went from 30 yard slices to dead straight 10* launch and 2200 spin bombs carrying 300+.

The foresight I was on didn’t have the aoa in their package but I’m usually up 3-4*.

Yes, it sucks to pay for shipping, but so does $600+ for a driver, but that's where we are........ In the grand scheme, it really doesn't mean much.

I took my Paradym Triple Diamond with Ventus Black TR and got absolutely shellacked by the standard Black Ops with Ventus Black. I lost on both distance and dispersion. Both were 8* heads with 6X shafts. Ironically, ball speed was down a bit with the BO but the launch was slightly better, spin a bit more stable, decent angle a little more acute all resulting in overall better performance. Plus the BO head is very stable. Overall, it's a great driver.
