Man, I always love the feel of these but I cant get over the pointy high toe in the shorter irons

Those look awesome, but the finish does not look like it will hold up to any serious amount of golf.  Better be a pro who can create a nice tiny wear spot or those are gonna look silly in the bag.

I think the chrome looks better. That gray look doesn’t work for me. Not close to black.

Hmmm, looks more black chrome than black. I love me some ZX7’s and ZX5’s but I’m not sure how I feel about the looks of the finish on these just yet. Maybe I’ll change my mind if I get to see them in person

Agreed. Srixon makes the best shaped irons in the game IMO. Seems they are one of the few… most all others have short irons that look like spoons🤢

I wonder if the gunmetal like finish was more intentional than a black finish since the black heads on irons have been known for looking awful after just a couple rounds.

This is how everybody should do black irons imo.  It doesn't look like a coating of paint from the pictures, more so just a darker metal color so it wouldn't wear horribly like every other black iron.  Curious if that's true and how they'd hold up after some rounds

Everyone bagging on the Black irons finish not holding up have never owned a set of PXG or the original Cobra Forged Tec Blacks and CB/MB's.  Those last forever!

Yeah, Hogan uses it too and it holds up really well.  Very different than a black oxide or "raw black" or something along those lines.  The Srixons look more like black chrome though, as someone else mentioned.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing them in person.  I've worn out a couple of set of Srixons over the last few years and haven't found anything I like better.

 

Edit: got curious and looked it up and the 45 series came out way back in 2013.  Can't believe it's been 10 years, but nothing but Srixon irons in my bag since then.
