I guess the carbon face is still attached to a steel backing?  I thought they had changed this?  I guess I haven’t followed closely this year.

can you provide details on how this happened?  I mean, was it a heel strike? etc.    What's your SS, etc.

Just grinding at the range. SS 110ish. Center-toe strike.

Well that didn’t take long…..

That’s obviously a pretty fast swing speed in the grand scheme of people who play the game, but a pretty normal swing speed for an 8 degree ls model…hopefully just a one-off manufacturing defect as you would expect large scale problems for this club at that speed given its audience

Certainly the first 3 iterations seems like the haven't perfected things.  I know all companies have failures, but geez, this is a little ridiculous.  There drivers the last 3 years have been a big pass for me.  I think there are others out there that perform and are much more durable than these.

Why I went to a TSR3.

 

Popped 3 faces on my Stealth2 Plus.  

 

Great driver but TM customer service on replacing heads has gone downhill substantially.

Ah yes.. the TSR3. One hell of a driver! But to be honest, I actually just cracked the face on my TSR3 (how I ended up with the Qi10 lol).

errr.... maybe you should just list all the drivers that you cracked before we go on about what drivers we like better.

I’m going to keep my clubhead speed under 110 this year so I should be fine. I kept it under 110 last year too.

I was really hoping they'd fix this issue this year.  It's one of the reasons why I went Callaway last and this year.

I want to laugh.. and i did.. but i just got a stealth 2. Ss 100 and no practice so i think im ok. Also.. i notice this happens alot with dudes who are at the range. Maybe impact into the fake tees  arent so good for it. They said they fixed this though? I guess they didnt test that much.

TM's really good about replacing damaged heads.  My Stealth started bubbling up under the laminate layer.  They replaced it, no questions asked.  I wouldn't "sweat" it, lol.

@TaylorMade Golf I thought you’d fixed this issue with the faces? It’s only been out about a month at best and already hearing of issues on here and at my local pro shop.
