I hit the 6 iron and compared to my iE's, they are WAY softer. They felt way better but they were also significantly shorter for me. I could play them but I don't plan to ditch the Pings any time soon, they are just too easy to hit.

I don't know Q, out of anything I've tried in recent years the TP MBs have the best look at address. Will be tough to replace those.

True, the TP MB are perfect at address! I don't get too hung up on look though having played i15 and Rocketbladez Tours. As long as the PW doesn't look like Mizuno!

Blades are nice but a little too small for me. The Apex Pro's are definately aiming at the same golfer as the Ap2's but Ap2's have a better shape to me.

I have a set of the Apex Pro 16's. Super solid. No complaints. They feel great and launch a bit easier without getting hot flyers. I have some new Titleist's and Srixon's on hand and will probably go that route but could easily roll with the Apex Pro's and not look back.

 

How is that G30 treating you? Never hit it but I look into it here and there...

Those are beautiful. I found some 2011 era Legacy Blacks I didn't have to get from overseas last summer, see pic below, after developing man crush on Stenson's Open performance.

 

Would love to see some new, not too busy looking Apex irons. Been an AP2 guy since they first came out and Ping before that, but man I really enjoyed the Callaways (put some graphite shafts in them to give that a whirl as well) late summer and into fall and had a couple of great little stretches of golf towards the end of the season with those irons.

 

Have to admit I'm a little envious of those who get such a great experience, and kudos again to this place for making something like that happen, but very much looking forward to the reports.

This is pretty much how I feel about them too, but I think I could easily overlook the aesthetics in favor of performance and feel. I had a set of the Apex 16 Combos, which ended up being too strong lofted for me. I need to re-order a set of these in all Pro 16's. I think they "out-AP2 the AP2", if that makes any sense!?
