It’s funny how much $ we spend on “low launch low spin” driver shafts and expensive putters, but will think a $200 putter shaft is blasphemous. I would love to try one.

Looks interesting and would love to see some actual testimonials but they lost me when talking abt smash factor as it relates to a putter.

Tom Watson has one of these in his putter. I have heard some good things. It would certaining be interesting to try one out.

I can understand the grip, weight, and putter heads being important.. I just don't see the shaft being an important thing on putting..

Do you really have to worry about flex or torsional rigidity on putting?

This could be an option for someone like me, who uses an old putter that is not very forgiving. However, not sure I want to take the risk of sacrificing the exceptional feel I currenty get.

I've never worried about torque or flex in a putter. Guess I've been doing it wrong all along.

So, am I right by thinking this is basically a super stiff shaft? It may only be in my head and I wouldn't dare do a blind test, but I tend to prefer the feel of a stepped putter shaft compared to a steppless shaft, precisely because the stepped shafts feel smoother and not as stiff. So I guess this shaft is probably not for me. Would still love to try one at some point though.

Reminds me of that old Aldila One shaft from about 15 years back.

    Fat Shaft, baby! HMOI redux!

Seriously - I'm a bit surprised that Barney Adams is involved in this (was it his idea?), because it smells snake oil-ey. I'm sure the shaft will get hyped up and they'll make a few sales, but I have a tough time wrapping my mind around this idea without some hard numbers.

I don't see how a putter shaft can make a difference. It's not like you hit a putt with any force.

[background=transparent]Same with the "lower launch" claim, but what irks me is no stats are being made available. Does shaft wobble = 1 degree of instability on a Bullseye putter head and 0.25 degree on my 450g mallet (or vice versa)? Are there style-induced aspects... cure your wobbly claw grip with a sip of my elixir... (cue the haircut competition from Sweeny Todd) and I didn't come across grip sizing specs. [/background]

[background=transparent]Deactivated glutes and wobbly putter shafts... I'm ready for the new season.[/background]

I'm going to wait and see. I remember thinking metal woods would be a passing phase and no one would want to play golf with one of those football on a stick huge(400+ cc) drivers.

Maybe it's one of those 2% help deals. Or 2% hurt deals.

It's a low launch putter shaft. I've heard it all. I'm interested but the marketing is pretty funny.

Funnily enough I'm searching for a new putter after an incident involving a 148m 'putt'. Might have to look into one of these shafts! Haha.
