I picked up a set of MP-32's yesterday to play around with. One of my favorite looking blades.

Loved my 900T’s. So tempted the pull the trigger on a combo set of the MP-20’s but curious to see what the new JPX release consists of.

On a similar thread, some are saying this may be a glimpse into the new models. A lot of time the JDM market is a way to "test" the success of a line before being brought over to North America. For instance, the Titleist VG was apparently the prototypes for the Titleist C16 and CNCPT series irons. I know Mizuno does have specific JDM models like the now defunt Mp55 and Mp65 that were Yoro crafted and basically hand ground but they did bear quite a similarity (IMO) to some of the recent MP releases.

That is 100% a release for Japan. If previous releases tell us anything, our new JPX line will not look like this club. I’m told the new Forged is getting a pretty significant reworking. I guess time will tell.

I just received my 900 tours. Only hit one bucket of balls so far. What I am seeing I like a lot. They are really good on thin shots, heavy divots and a little fat. Ball flight is great and spin appears to be good. ( Spin was perfect during the fitting.)

I'm sure I will like the newer model. But I'm holding on to these for awhile.

Have you heard anything else about the new line? Specifically if the Hot Metal will change much? On the fence of buying old on sale or waiting for new. If no major changes would like the discount but don't want to miss out if there is a chance of a substantial performance enhancement coming.

Mizuno may be the best OEM at keeping their new product info and pics under wraps. I have no inside info to pass on. Normally, reps will the new products only a few weeks ahead of the release. Once that meeting happens, I’m sure leaks will follow.

I am without a doubt a broken record. Only hit my 919 tours three times at the range. They are the best irons I've hit.

Look like a blade play like a blade in every way. But give a little help on toe hits.

I am just going to re-shaft my 919F into Accra Constant Weight i85. I'll probably wait for another edition of the Forged. I like the forgiveness, distance, playability and look.

This is the only hint I have seen about a "potential" replacement for the JPX line in the works.

Hopefully there’s a little overlap of availability of the old with at least images of the new...

This seems to be what most have been saying. However, this is the first time I am personally interested in an iron set and in the fence between discounted old line or waiting for new updated line. Is there typically an overlap where the new are announced but still time to buy custom old if upgrade is not that substantial? This piece seems less clear.

    From past experience, no.

They are usually available custom order for about 8-10 weeks after price drop, do not ever recall seeing the new product line and still having the option to custom order the previous line.

Things are different this year, so a bit of a guess this time around.

Honestly for the price Discount Dans is selling the 919’s for it might be worth picking up a set and then seeing what the new ones end up looking like.

I figured it could be a while before I have the opportunity to order a full set of custom Mizzys for these kinds of prices again - so decided to pull the trigger on a 3-PW set of JPX 919 Tours from DD's. They've now been "in transit" at a Fedex location less than three miles from me since Sunday night but I'm hoping they arrive soon. After playing Nike Vr Pro blades since 2011 I'm very excited to see how the Mizzys perform

You won't be disappointed!! I have played 710mb's pretty much exclusively since they came out.

919 tour are legit. I would almost buy a spare at these prices.

The 919 Tours are really nice! One of the most distance consistent irons I have ever played. Not as soft as the Bridgestone J15 CB (but nothing is), don't cut through the turf like the Srixon V sole(I grab a lot of turf with these things), and not a distance iron. But, I have been hitting more shots close with the Tours than I have in the past 2 years. I love the ball flight and I love that you can jump on it or lay off a bit and get what you expect. I currently bag only the 6i through PW, but will be adding at least the 5i as I am very confident with the 6i.

FWIW, I am almost 62 years old and coming back to golf after 15 to 20 years off after compound fracturing both arms. My driver SS only hovers around 100mph now and these irons perform great for me. While I use to be a pretty decent striker of the ball, I am nothing special now for sure. Don't let the talk of how demanding they are make you think there is no help for the less than elite ball striker. They look great and are very predictable. I am not playing golf hoping to have my worst shots rescued. I play hoping to put together a round with as few misses as possible. Never surprised with the best or worst strikes with the Tours, and that is the help I am looking for.
