Ok, we are still two rounds away from finalizing anything at this point so I won't give him the W yet, BUT this would be something if he pulls this off as a last-ditch effort to get into the FedEx. Yes it is a lowly event with a arguably weaker field, but let's be honest, the way he has looked the past 10 months it was hard to imagine him even going here and contending.

AND I want to stab my eyeballs out every time I have to read about Tiger being "Back" because of temporary spike up for a day or two where he shoots in the 60's again. My GOD people, this isn't the Master's, he hasn't even won this yet, it isn't his 3rd W of the season, etc. If he pulls of getting into FedEx then wins FedEx then is a top-5 at Masters, THEN I will join the "Back" crowd.

Just think about the possibilities with a win here, big jump in the WGR, 2 years exemption, the Masters... hope he can handle the pressure!

Nice round, with a controlled swing off the tee. Doesn't matter who's in the field ,he is still 11 under. I have to laugh
when someone ranked in the teens in the world is considered an amateur ! Only on WRX. That's why we all love this site !

Why can't you be a Tiger Woods fan and still feel a little hesitant given that he hasn't won since 2013?

I am excited to see him playing well too but it seems like you either love him or hate him on GolfWRX

I'm definitely not in the crowd who hates the guy. But I'm not gonna say he's back until he wins a tournament or competes in a Major.

Seeing highlights again if the back nine, his swing was very similar to his 2000 swing. There was one on a par 3 that could have been from 2000. Hopefully there will be some on YouTube so I can see them a few times in succession.

Now, can he keep it up? I think he can.

I wish someone would ask him about the difference(s) between the 2000 and 2015 swings. Looks like his arms are a little deeper on backswing than 15 years ago.

[/quote] #1 you are correct about the cuts in majors. #2 weak event weak field. So do you only count two of Spieths wins this year? Weak events and weak fields. And #3-I have been saying Delaet said it took him 18 months to feel right after the same back surgery Tiger had. It has been 17 for Tiger I believe. And no he is not back yet. I wouldn't even say he is back with a win this week. Give me some of the old Tiger consistency and I would though. We may never see that again though.

But ya gotta admit he has looked good the first two days.

TIger tied for the lead, DL3 just a shot behind...it's like we have transported back to 2000. Would love TW to hang around over the weekend. His swing looked good the last couple of days. Can't imagine how pleased the Wyndham folks are right now?!

Last time he was in good position heading into the weekend at a tourney, QL, he puked all over his shoes on Sat. Progress here would be staying within spitting distance come Sunday. Somebody at 7 or 8 under is going to go low tomorrow (Kaymer??) and Tiger needs to at least shoot something under par or even par at worst.

It's the worst Nike hats they've come out with in a while. It looks sloppy and doesn't hold sweat well.

The Nike tour mesh are one of the best hats on the market though.

I really hope he can keep this same swing into tomorrow and Sunday. His confidence gets up, he starts swinging a bit harder and bam, back at square one. We know his swing is there, but is he ready mentally to finish strong and take the win? I hope so.

Agreed. Some of their hats are almost as bad ( for me ) as the flat billed,in that I don't think I could ever feel confortable
wearing them.They would just feel odd to me. I would guess he can wear any of their's he wants,but some of them
look well used before the turn !
