I'm too embarrassed to look. I might re-read this thread and see how much I spent. I can say this, it was less than I spent on a new Porsche Cayenne. Or do I have to count that since it will be transporting my golf clubs?

Tm M1 Head: $150 (BST)

Mizuno wedge & Rouge 4wood: $350 (from our shop, but bought with credit soon not counting it)

I think that adds up to about $1275. I’m sure I missed some stuff, but I also sold a lot so stuff. I would guess it probably comes out to around $500 actually out of pocket this year. Which is really good for me (and if I hadn’t bought the Cobras last week it would look really good!)

I typically keep irons / woods for 3 years on average. Hybrid/3 wood a bit longer. My current setup is at 3 years so that will tell you how this year will be =_)

 

*Already picked up a TS3 this morning...LOL Waiting on the new 19' Apex Pro's to see if they can kick out my current set. I thought the new srixons would but did not happen.

I honestly own so much crap and buy and sell so much used stuff it's almost a break even at this point. I buy stuff used and keep it if I love it, sell it if I don't anymore, so it's sort of a revolving door that nets zero. My postman said to my wife the other day with a sigh, "wow, another golf club huh?"

Reminds me of when I lived in So Cal and all golf related purchases were done in stores. I stupidly took my wife to a couple stores I frequented one weekend and upon walking into both stores a couple of the guys said "Hi Eric" after we left she said "how much do you spend in there that they all knew your name" uhh uhh. duly noted.

I'm really proud of my 2018 self. I sent my club hoeing into remission. I told myself I wasn't going to buy anything, and that was mostly true. I only bought one club- a new lob wedge ($140), only because my old one was worn out. Other than that, I replaced my GPS watch ($200), because my old one broke.

Now, my 2019 self could prove to be a bit different. I have some itches I might want to scratch...

Coming off 4 years of no golf, I bought a completely new set as I couldn't hit my old one at all. I'm about $1600 in and I still want to pick up a 3W.

 

Also, I only buy retail and support local business as much as I can. Could I have gotten my set cheaper? I'm sure. But I think it's important to give brick and mortar store some business.
