I think there are two possibilities.

1) The wording of the TM announcement is way over blown. This would be the case if it turns out to be a Rickie ball/ glove deal.

2) Tiger Woods. I know he's already on their team, but how much promotion does he do for them? Basically none. Signing him to a club and bag deal and having him do some commercials would fit the hyperbole of the announcement. If he also plays the ball it would be Nirvana for TM,

Yes, I guess to TM accounts they can say whatever they want and it not be a big deal. But if that was said publicly there'd be some discussion. A good move for TM, but not that big of deal imo

Look back in the thread. I've linked to it at least once, maybe more. And it's not a "bright" ball, but a visual pattern ball like the Callaway TruVis. This pattern is has higher visibility in low and bright "light" conditions, which the wording of the CEO's letter may be playing off of.

But, honestly, if we posted every new product/new staffer announcement up here that we get from all other companies, honestly, they all sound pretty ridiculous with the exaggerations most of the time. BS is how all of these clubs are sold more or less. Because most of us know there's not an appreciable increase in performance from one year to the next.

The email is definitely real. We all received it. We being TaylorMade accounts. I'm not sure why there is uncertainty regarding the authenticity of it.
