After reading that statement for the third time, I can’t actually imagine what person would fit the absurd grandiosity of the description given.

Did Jesus quietly return to earth and take up golf and TM manage to get him on their staff?? Have the end times officially started?

Only two people in golf history have that kind of impact on endorsements. One of them passed away a couple years ago and the other is already a TaylorMade person. Pretty ridiculous hype, but what else is new these days. Everything is overhyped it seems, lol

So more TM falsehoods. We aren’t getting speed. And this isn’t big news.

Lol. You truly hate Taylor Made don't you BH?

Yea. It’s weird. I have a 3 wood that they made that’s so good it needs no explanation. No hype. No nothing. So I keep it.

But I hate to even try other clubs they make. The childish games they play are just crazy. Last years attorneys contacting members here over m3 pics kind of sealed it. You know as well as I do that their employees leaked those pics. How else would they get out that early ? And they have the nerve to threaten people who are spending money on their crap ? For putting on a free version of the same hype marketing campaign they put on themselves. Yea. Kind of hard to forget.

This year they promise hotter faces. Nobody seen that speed yet.

I don’t think they make junk. I just think they take advantage of the ignorant public. When they could sell as much or more with straight talk , relying on quality

I understand. I just try not to believe much of any of the industry's companies marketing. I've just been in the industry too long for any of it to faze me. I see the marketing tactics and tricks and "embellishments they all do...I have the reps visiting me basically telling me how they are trying to spin each year's new launches to a mostly ignorant customer base. Callaway does it, TaylorMade does it, Titleist, etc. About the only companies that I see that don't truly go over the top with marketing exaggerations are the Japanese-based companies (Bridgestone, Mizuno, Srixon), and PING, for the most part. The Japanese-based companies don't seem to understand marketing in the USA, and as a result, don't know how to sell mostly superior products and their sales suffer because of it, and PING is still basically a family-run company of engineers who don't know how to "market"...or creatively embellish. I like those companies (Japanese based and PING) and sell and support them, but of the big marketing companies, I actually now would much rather deal with TaylorMade than Callaway over the past few years. As far as the side of the companies that we account holders have to deal with, I've found TaylorMade has really gotten their act together in recent years. And this is coming from a course GM/proshop operator who, because of the company itself, boycotted TaylorMade for over 10 years. I despised them. Now, they are one of my favorite companies to deal with, of the traditional US big 3, at least.

Yep. And I agree with you. And if I were on the inside and had a rep I liked I’d probably sell and buy TM too.

My opinions are harsh at times I know. If a club fell into my lap with TM on it and performed. I’d play it. I do now. But they make it hard to ever see a mostly full bag of Tm even if the clubs were in some way better. The marketing just does the opposite to me compared to their intent.

Rickie is signing a glove deal? Whoa...deep breath. This is game changing.

The only more important white glove worn on one hand in history was the one the King of Pop wore. The announcement by TaylorMade is earth shattering.

To be fair, this wasn't a public email that started the thread. It was an email to OP that no one else has really seen.

If they had done all this publicly I'd be pretty underwhelmed, too, but it doesn't seem like it was the TM people driving all of this.

A lot of other staffers and folks who sell TaylorMade clubs have seen it.

The people of TaylorMade? It was only the CEO.

IT IS CONFIRNED from Carlsbad. R. Fowler Signing to play the TP5 (or X). As I posted earlier and someone else before me from Jupiter, FL. This has been a well known and un-denied rumor since the end of November. It spells a new and big approach toward living behind the comments reported by other months ago with the declaration "this is a golf ball company".

Not any of the other guesses. Not Steph Curry (unless Under Armor gets involved in the future), Not MJ. Not Fleetwood, not Molinari who is already in Callaway gear, not Lexi. Not JT, Not Brooks, nor anyone else who has been playing other companies equipment since Jan 1. Now this may be the beginning of other club players moving to the TP5, we'll see. It is a great ball. I will be playing the new ball in Orlando area starting Saturday.

There will be a release event. Virtually everyone in Carlsbad/San Diego knows about it. I don't know if he is going to play the highly visible version. Maybe that is part of it or maybe they announce that new models at the same time.

It’s amazing what a few million dollars will do. Titleist didn’t want to pay him anymore. Taylormade apparently has some extra money......hope the ball works out better for him compared to Rory.....

So only the staff should be underwhelmed ?

The announcement, whatever it is, will be meaningless. Because everything the TaylorMade marketing department flaunts is meaningless to all but the most extremely ignorant consumers. It's a shame because they make some really good equipment, but the statement made in the letter the OP received is absolutely nonsensical garbage as it always is for the makers of twisty speed screw face bubble jet hammerhead'ier' technology. What a joke. I wish they just stuck to selling clubs instead of selling snake oil on clubs that don't need it.. Lame...'ier'.
