If there's any European WRXer's who fancy dabbling with Sub 70, I can highly recommend the services of Sub 70 Europe. Took about 7 days from ordering to get my irons, great customer service along the way and the free gift in the box was a lovely touch 👍 

 

I got a 4-PW set of 699 pros as I wanted to try something with a lighter shaft than my current irons, as well as a slightly bigger club head. They are great looking clubs - only had the chance to hit the PW, 7 iron and 4 iron from a mat at the range, but I love the feel and sound. Definitely going in the bag.

Quick update from my second range session with the 699 pro's - they are truly f*cking awesome. The feel off the face is so good. I was playing z765 irons before these so I was a bit worried about the difference in feel as I've never had hollow bodied irons before, but I love it. There's no way any of the 'big boy' manufacturers can be making anything better than this 👍

My Callaway Mack Daddy 2 wedges are almost worn out. Which wedge is closer to the Mack Daddy shape, the JB or the 286? Thanks.

Does Sub70 offer alignment aid customization on the putters?  I order the 007 putter via the website and didn't see that customization option.  I'm not positive I even want any alignment aid, but a small circle could potentially be beneficial.

I ordered a 939X hybrid last week from the Canadian website. Order process was smooth and easy (everything was in Canadian dollars, too). We'll see how the shipping goes whenever my order is ready. I'm always nervous about the carrier hitting me up for ridiculous customs "processing" fees when ordering from US-based companies.

Have a friend who hits from the opposite side of the ball.  He uses an 8802 currently, and has had thoughts about getting something newer, and a bit heavier.  

 

So I wondered....   do you know if there might be a plan for a LH version of the 007 Blade?

Looking like I'll be ordering a set of Sub70 699 Pro in the near future. Not that the prices are high (at all), but just curious - does Sub70 run any sort of Black Friday deals at all? I'll be buying regardless but just wondering if I should hold off (no rush) 🙂

I'd take the plunge as soon as possible to make sure you can get the components (shaft, grip, etc) you want. Supply chains are going to get really jacked over the next couple of months as Christmas orders take over everything.

Has anyone ordered their Sub70 irons with weaker lofts. I have been fanboying the site since the Canadian one launched. The only thing I'm not liking is the stronger lofts mainly the 639CB. Going two stronger than my current setup deters me as my lofts have been what they are for 15 years. 

From a Design standpoint would a 2* weakening change what they are designing.

Going two weak won’t impact the performance, but it will open the club face slightly. If you are ok with that, then it wouldn’t be a problem

i have done this several times. Two degrees is well within range of reasonable adjustability. Only thing it affects is spin and distance, does not hurt playability.

So, I got to take my 699 pro's out for the first time today, and now I've hit them from grass rather than a driving range mat, I'm sold. Great irons. 👍

There is no std lie among manufacturers. And why would you debate having the lie altered? Choose the lie that works for your stroke.

I actually just sent your support team an email, then found you on here. If I order a custom set of 699 pro and want bb&f ferrules would I be able to purchase them and send them in for my build? Assuming they need to be put on when the irons are shafted ( I don't know much about that)

Did it with the 639 MB CB split combo,

 

I wanted them Modern MB lofts, so starting 46, 42, 38 etc.  They weakened them to my specs and helped a touch with the offset.  Unfortunately the offset was still not my preferred cup of tea so I have moved to the 649mbs.  They are already modern MB lofts 46* PW starting.

 

So yes they surely can do it and 2* from the specs builders point of view said not a problem!

Said I'd wait until next year, but received my 699 5i - 9i today. 3 weeks to the day of order which was nice. Had the lofts weakened a bit for consistent gapping through the set. Decided not to (i.e. didn't want to) wait for the LH 699 Pro and will hope to add the 699U 4i if it comes in LH next year. Had a chance to go the range this afternoon and look forward to playing them.

 

RE: Ferrules

My personal experience, I was told BB&F ferrules could not be sent in and added to the order. However, they do offer a solid selection of custom ferrules in house if that interests you. Posted a pic in the Recent Purchase thread of an option that came out classy.

Interestingly I was in an email conversation with a well known clubmaker to various forums members (and general good guy) the other day regarding your sticks. He owned a Sub 70 wedge and after our exchange proceeded to order a combo set from you. I have conversed with the guy for years and trust his judgement. I am simply debating my 699/699 pro,or combo option. Kind of funny he ordered right  after we talked. Sure you know who I am referring to but don't find it proper to mention here n open forum. Anyway your welcome,LOL.

It was Jason. Think I should stick to all 699 but configuring 5-g as I have been last couple sets or going back to 4-PW. I do miss my 4 iron on occasion for those low shots under limbs from a bad drive,LOL. Plus still enjoy hitting a good long iron. Gap wedge can be replaced with a old fashion choke down wedge.
