Do you collect items from courses you play?

I go with the ball marker from courses I play. If I play well, I'll go with a polo as well.

Depends on the course but definitely a logo ball from every course and I keep the pencils and scorecards from the ones I play once or not often. Hats and/or shirts if I like the logo. I like getting bag tags from PGA Tour/Major Championship/ Top tier courses to keep on my man cave staff bag haha and then the rest is sort of whatever I am feeling that day. Sometimes a towel, headcover, or ball marker. Depends on the pro shop!

Sounds like hoarding to me. The only thing I keep are scorecards where I shoot under par or I have an ace. So not many.

 

I do keep a record of all the away golf I play. I bought a computer program in 1997 and I put the course and the tees I played and what I shot and the date. I’ve been doing that over 20 years and there are hundreds of rounds logged from different courses. I also put in all my tournament rounds. It’s neat to look back and see where I was, on what date, and what I shot. If someone asks, “Have you played xxxx?” If I can’t remember, I’ll usually say I’ll check and get back to them. After I’m gone I doubt my kids or wife will care what Texas course I played and what I shot on Super Bowl Sunday of 2003. But if I ever want to know, it’s just a few clicks away on my home computer.

I wont o this for every course I play like the ones in my area I play on the regular, but the "special" courses I play or when I attend PGA events - I collect the flags.

The wife and I buy a combination of either ball marker/pitchmark repairer and a yardage book.

I usually grab a yardage book (nicer courses that have them) otherwise a ball marker usually. Grabbed this sweet pitch mark repair tool at a beautiful course in MN.

I’m a logo ball guy. I’ve developed a nice collection over the years. Occasionally I’ll buy a hat or a towel from high end courses.

I typically take home a rock of some sort specially when I am playing in a different country. Usually I will pair it up with a flag or a logo'd ball.

I've gone with scorecards since my junior days. Outside of pencils its really the only thing every course is guaranteed to have logo'd/marked so at least its consistent.

Pencil, scorecard, and two ball markers. One marker to keep, and one use (and possibly lose). At private clubs, I'll snag a pitch mark tool if they've got a basket of them in the locker room.

Things? Pencils and scorecards, mostly. I cleaned out my bag earlier this year and found that I had nearly a dozen logo balls from over the years, so I've sorta kinda begun seeking logo balls from the courses I play. Other than that, if I need some last-minute supplies, I've tended to gravitate towards anything with a course logo on it (I've got an awesome Nike glove that I picked up on a work outing years ago, fits wonderfully, but I can't find a replacement online!).

Awesome collection. I also collect balls from all the courses I play and I have a smaller collection of balls (300+). I used to collect all kinds of logo balls, but this got to be unmanageable. Now it is just logo balls from courses I play.

I only get stuff if it's a unique course that I might not see again or if the logo is interesting.

Otherwise, I'm too cheap.

Most times a golf shirt if it is a place where I can buy it. Some private clubs are member charge accounts only, no cash, no credit cards.

logo ball usually, it's a great logo a hat or polo. If it's a super exclusive club a piece that i wont wear often but it's needed. A vest or sweater something along those lines.

I try to get one from every course I play, but there are a lot that I don't have from courses I played before I started collecting balls and some of those courses no longer exist

I will always grab a yardage book if one is available as it helps remember individual holes. For the really nice courses, I buy a leather money clip wallet.

I keep all my scored cards in my bag....at the end of the season I take them out and just kinda look them over and relive any memories.

I generally buy a logo ball from courses that are not part of my normal rotation. I figure balls are the better choice because if i get tired of collecting, I can just use the balls on the course.

Anything else would just end up getting thrown away.

Pencil from every course I've played. I like that they don't take up much space, I keep them in my man room in cigar boxes.
