Srixon have knocked it out of the park where price is concerned. Here in Aus JPX 921 forged and P7MC both retail at $299 per club. The ZX7 is $215 - that is a really significant difference

That is quite a difference. Anyone hit the zx series vs the jpx 921 series? Im leaning towards one of these for next year. Have a set of z585/785 and 921 hm/hmp. I thinking of going graphite and both sets are steal. But thinking zx5 5-6/zx7 7-pw or 921 hmp 5-6/forged7-gw with steelfiber or mmt.

It is, indeed, quite a difference and will most likely sway me to the Srixons, all else being equal.  As I mentioned above, I tested the Srixons last week and decided on the ZX5s.  I have a demo day appointment for the Mizunos on 26 October, if I can wait that long.  The club pro is expecting the Mizuno fitting cart shortly, so I may take the 921 Forged and ZX5/ZX7 on course for a trial - if so, I will post my results.

How was the forgiveness between all of them. I'm sure the x7s feel great.

they are close. Both great forged irons. I would have to spend more time with them head to head to determine a difference.

If you trust shipping from down under...

These were released in Australia this week, we got our demo sets into our pro shop today.

That seller is a well known trusted seller/shop here in Australia, I've had no issue dealing with him in the past.

The ZX 7 are retailing here in Thailand for 29,700 Thai baht (Approx 965 USD, £745, or 1343 AUD), that is 10,000 Thai baht (320 USD, £250, 450 AUD), cheaper than the JPX 921 forged are currently on sale for with a 20% discount. Unfortunately I have not found anywhere that has an outdoor hitting area or even a fitting cart. The stores wrap several layers of white masking tape over the head and tell you to hit into a net. For an area that has over 20 courses within 40Km's, there is a serious lack of fitting available.

Wasn't abt the seller. More abt the US and the issues with mail/delivery.

Has Srixon provided any rationale as to why they’re releasing in Europe now and not the US until next year?  This will definitely cost them sales IMHO.

Isn't Srixon owned by Cleveland? Maybe that factors into when they roll out products in the US (with staggered releases for Cleveland and Srixon-branded products).

Looks like z785 are already getting tough to find due to imminent release. Been on the hunt for a single AW and can't seem to find one anywhere!🔭

Yep, just got fit into the 785s on Wednesday and my fitter/builder put in the order yesterday. He got a call from his Srixon rep this morning to tell him they don't have a full set of heads left. My fitter said the last time he asked he was told he'd have the ZX line in December, but he asked for an update on that today. Hoping it's sooner than later now that they've run out of the 785s.

For those who are in areas where these are available, how much did the price increase from the 785s to the XZ7s?

So are you going to wait on the ZX7? I have a brand new set of 4-PW z785 still in plastic but I wanted to match it with an AW as well. If I can't fine one, I may sell these and wait on the new line.

I am. As soon as he can get his hands on them he’s going to get the set built. Just hoping I have them before I head to Bandon at the end of January.

Any idea on new shaft options? I’m really hoping the offer $-tapers for no upcharge this time around

I got 785s in $ Taper and there was no upcharge. It was considered a custom option and I had to wait longer but they didn't cost more.

You must have gotten lucky. I have heard that all steel options will be no upcharge with the new ZX7. If that is the case, I will also be getting them with $ Taper.

I played the $ tapers this year. I love the feel but I do not think they are the right shaft for me. I need something a touch less spin.
