What ball do you game?

Taylormade TP5X or Bridgestone Tour BXS.

This is very intriguing. Two totally opposite balls. I like the BXS and currently game the TP5X. I gotta say, the BXS was the ultimate ball (after the Nike RZN Platinum Tour).

I'm going to give MTB Black a whirl or at least a testing before I find my next ball. TP5x aint it.

I switch between the TP5X and the new Bridgestone BX.  Side note has anyone else tried the yellow TP5X?  I recently got a dozen and noticed that durability seems to be a large issue with the cover.

I’m seeing similar issues with TP5.

Moved to this from Titleist because their yellow ball fell different to me, and have heard same comments from others.

TP5 feels and performs great, but noticed two balls where thePaint appeared to have chipped. And neither ball had been abused (cart path, tree, etc.).

ProV1. You're supposed to stick to one ball for consistency and I mostly find ProV1s in the woods, so I go with that.  But really the ball that hits every category, doesn't excel but perfectly perfect.

I'm now giving the TP5 some play.  Perhaps not the best time of the season to do so, the greens at my course were just aerated this past week, the leaves will be falling, etc.

Started playing the BXS this year and saw a crazy increase in green side spin. Might try out the BX to maybe knock down a little spin. Tried out mizuno’s tour offering and I hated it. Thought I could save a little money but for an extra $8 per dozen go with Bridgestone or titleist.

Is the BXS, that much better than the Qstar Tour or TM Tour response. Talk about a price difference.

I haven’t tried those yet but have wanted to! I will say I have not found a ball that reacts quite the same to the bxs on shots inside 50 yards. Thing grows razor blades around the greens

Definitely noticed cover issues with TP5x, it seemed to strip. Played a lot of recent rounds with Tour B RX and ProV1 and they are in great shape after a round

I'm playing a mix of FG Tour, TM Tour response (surprisingly good ball), ProV1 and BRXS.

Not sure which I'll stay with, but the FG Tour is hard to find, so as much as I like it, it's out when I run out.

Bridgestone and Titleist seem to have the most consistency/ best QA out there. TM Second.

Sad to hear I am not the only one having these issues.  I noticed some of the cover stripping you mention after only a few wedge shots and no hit trees or cart paths.

2019 Bridgestone tour b xs Tiger Edition. This was after i tried pretty much every other ball out there. Liked the nike rzn tour platinum and this seemed a straight switch, (did play the B330s). I found while trying the tp5x pix that i just prefer a softer ball and this ball just suits my game.

the feel is excellent and distance is out there. The dual dimple works very well.  putts soft and even looks good with a triple track system (stencil ordered from amazon). durability is outstanding, just recently got a box of the 2020 model ready to fly next season since its a wet autumn(fall) over here in the uk and sadly my local municipal might be closing down from November. Hope not but i’ll keep you all posted on how i find the 2020 ball

Personally playing the Snell MTB-X. Just ordered five dozen more.

I’m finding they perform just as well as any $4 ball for me, and have just a little bit more bite around the greens than the MTB Black.

The MTB-X is a tough ball, too. Just made it through 36 holes with one and it only had a couple minor scuffs, still playable.

Thinking I’ll go with the cheaper yellow Snell Get Sums and some Srixon Q-Star Tours I have a few sleeves of this winter.

I have around 9 dz. TP5X on-hand before I have to buy more. I was recently out of town at a course and had to buy a couple sleeves of Tour BX. I was really impressed with it in all areas of the game. When it's time to re-stock I'll have to compare the TP5X, Pro V-1 LD, and Tour BX head to head.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

I've been playing TP5x this year because I love the performance but the durability is crap compared to Titleist or Callaway. I have one in my bag that I used for two full rounds and it's chewed to bits. Considering going back to Pro V1x even though it's a half club shorter for me on short & mid irons.
